The North Shore is home to some of the most captivating
sceneries on O'ahu. It is also home to the 2000 State Defending Champions, the
Kahuku Red Raiders. Aug 8 at Kahuku, anticipation rose as the Tigers were anxious to
enter the competition. Kimo Terry and Lorgan Pau led the way for the Tigers running
game. The defense was led by the strong and quick defensive end Jake Talamoa who had
a sack during the scrimmage. Disxon Lauofo Tiger Sophmore linebacker had an
interception. "I'm glad everyone got to play in this scrimmage, now we can see
what we need to work on" said coach Tanuvasa. Kahuku's running game was
impressive as well. Coach Tanuvasa was also grateful that there were no serious
injuries. The Tigers must stay healthy if they want to compete in the RED
CONFERENCE. The Tigers will host the Pearl City Chargers August 10 Friday 4pm. So come
on down family, friends and fans to support the Tigers! The JV will head to Pearl City, then preseason Waipahu August 17th at Waipahu 5pm.
