A Quiet Evening At Home
the coldness of the
.44 magnum you had pressed to my skull,
scared me more that you'd believe.
"do what i say, and you won't get hurt".
I drew a breath, and I could hear
the intense pounding of my heart.
"people like him can smell your fear"
i remembered, a friend once told me.
so i closed my eyes,
and tried to hide,
the smell that washed over me.
my life began to flash before my eyes,
and i realized, it wasn't so bad.
but it was too late,
you shot..
and i died.
