Enter the Actors

Enter the moon and crashing waves
And you and I fill the night with energy
Quiet and darkly beautiful
Enter the stars and perfect night

Stage right becomes the ocean
Wildly coursing like the quick pulse
And stage left is empty in the middle of midnight
Enter your darkness and your light

Cats eyes sparkle mischieviously
Enter the wind and whispers
The audience, an unseen presence, is watching
Catch me before I fall and go on

Waves curl around the wooden floor
And wash up into clothes and hair
Enter the cold wind and warm embrace
Find the play just begun

Reckless abandon and childlike innocence
Wonder and growing magnetism
All collect in opposite wings
All ready to enter in a burst of emotion
Call out to me in that soundless splash.
