Curious wolflike eyes
Stare at you from under here
Wondering where your going and where you've been
You smell like rain and wet forests
But sometimes you look like them, the haunted ones.
The wolf knows better
Seeing unearthly strength and power
That which they don't
The blind ones must not wonder
About that sparkle in your eye
If they could see your warrior's spirit
That which would scare them...
They hunt down those wolves that are too strong.
Keep the strongest hidden
When the time is right, the pack will ride again
Wolf cousin and sister wolf, side by side
Will bring back the old peace one day
And then they will know
That strength lies not in what they see
But in what you know.
