Remember--a Petri dish is used primarily for growing bacterial cultures, and a triple-beam balance is used to measure mass. Although an Erlenmeyer Flask CAN be used to measure volume, it is much more accurate to use a Graduated Cylinder.
2. When reading a graduated cylinder, you should always:
a) Put the liquid surface at eye level and read the bottom of the meniscus
b)Put the liquid surface at eye level and read the top of the meniscus
c) Look down onto the surface and approximate the volume from the meniscus
d) What's a meniscus?
