"Beauty"

They say that beauty is only skin deep;
if that be so,
then let me worship your skin, your flesh
for each moment, nay each second,
that I possess it is worth a king's ransom
thrice over

They say that beauty is fleeting;
if that be so,
I will turn this instant into an eternity
if not by the hands of the clock,
then by the hands in my mind,
and your hands.

They say that beauty conceals a cold heart;
if that be so,
of your love then let me be deceived
for each moment of belief
before assured downfall
is priceless indeed.

This night, this beautiful night,
this beautiful you,
are burned into my memory forever.
