Lance Bass
James Lance "Lansten" Bass was born on May 4, 1979 in Laurel, Mississippi. In 1989, Lance,along with his parents and his older sister,Stacy, moved to Clinton, Missippi which is where he lived before he moved to Orlando to take his place as the bass (not like his last name - which is pronounced like the fish!) singer in 'N Sync.
Lance's love for being on stage started back when he was in seventh grade and sang in chorus. The next year, he landed a spot in the Mississippi Show Stoppers, a state wide group sponsored by the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum. He was also involved for several years with the competition choir, Attache.
Lance, usually called the shy one of the group, loves playing video games (his favorite is Mortal Kombat), the color candy apple red, the music of Boyz II Men, and tv shows like Mad About You and Friends. His dream car is a Toyota 4-Runner. Lance also loves the Tazmanian Devil and (like Joey and Superman)loves to collect whatever he can with Taz on it!
Lance says that the best day of his life was when he got called to Orlando to audition for the group. He had heard of JC and Justin through MMC, and was really surprised when they called him and asked him to audition to be in a group with them. The minute Lance opened his mouth at the audition, the guys knew they had found their bass singer.
