Many "stray" animals wander our streets and neighborhoods,their lives little seen and stories unknown. I have spent much of my life trying to better the lives of these special creatures. They mean no less to me than my own pets and deserve the same love, affection and respect.
One such little soul entered my life through the stories of a friend. From the best i could gather, she was abandoned by her previous owners once she became pregnant. Soon after she gave birth to a litter of five beautiful kittens who all found loving homes, while their mother captured our hearts. She was very friendly and full of eneregy and spirit, thus earning her name, "Spirit".
Spirit spent her days sprawled out enjoying the sunshine, playing with the cat and dogs when they ventured outdoors and tagging along human heels.
It is my belief that some souls are just too special to remain here on earth with us for long, they have many missions to accomplish and others to help and guide.
when they leave us we weep for them, then we smile as we remember the the comfort they brought to our souls sinply by being a part of our lives, and the pawprints they have left on our hearts.
As you bound about free little Spirit, know that you are very loved, missed by many and will never be forgotten.
