I sent this poem to a contest held by "The National Library of Poetry" I was told I'd get a reply within 7 weeks. The 7 weeks isn't up yet but I'll let you know how I did in the contest!

My Wings

In my mind, with my wings
That take me to many places and things
To mirthful courts and heedful kings.
To Glorious worlds
Of untouched sand
To rivers that run
All through the land
This laten world wouldn't be
Without the wings you've given me.
And in the dark blue, velvet sky
The brightest of visions I do defy
On which my heart does rely.
Four stars greater than all
If the sky should collapse
They would not fall
If this world would end
They'd still stand tall.
And if this world lay now to rest
I would offer up my very best
Free my soul so it could sore
And lie with it forever more

Well, It's been 5 months and I have finally gotten a reply from "the National Library of Poetry". it seems I am a semi finalist!! That means automatic publication in the NLP book! This is very exciting news for me:)
Also, this poem is now copy written under my name through the National Library of Poetry.
