One of my all time favorite actresses is without doubt 20 year old Christina Ricci! I've seen just about all Ms. Ricci's movies. I really think she's a talented actress. The one thing I like about her is that she's open minded. She doesn't care what other people think of her. Thats what I think makes her stand out to me. I recently read an article (I think it was SPIN), where Christina was talking about her life and what people think of her. Some of you may think Christina is another one of those Gothic chicks who has a dark side. In reality Christina is not even close to that. Yes Christina has her days where she just gets pissed (hey we all do), but, as one of Christina admiring fans, I can say she is nothing like Hollywood sometimes sees her. She is just like any other young adult you run into. Also in the article it said Christina is now living in Santa Monica, Ca(with her boyfriend).
One would think a lot of hard work and research went into these performances on The Ice Storm, The oppsite of Sex, but it turns out Christina's technique is basically to have no technique at all. She doesn't act. As the plain-speaking actress puts it, "I just go on autopilot and say my lines. I mean, your job is to just show up, look right and say your lines. I don't develop characters, writers do. And I don't ad-lib. In my job as an actor, I'm not supposed to think, so why ask to have to." .
It is said that Christina has a production company called Blaspheme Films and she is directing a movie called Asylum
