Eternity
As it was in the beginning
So it shall continue:
As the ever opening flower
Reveals its petals:
As the new leaf grows
Where the old has fallen:
As the water travels up
Through the ground,
Through the roots
Through the trunk
Through the leaves-
To the sky
To fall as rain -
So it shall continue,
Now and forever.
