With All My Love,
Diana

Dad,
I owe you alot.....If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be this happy....*big smile*..You have come to me as my Guardian Angel when I desperately needed one....You brought me laughter and you brought me to John...Thank you so much and I love you.....*hugs*

With Love,
Diana

It started out like this...

Once upon a time, a bright young woman (thats me *L*) sent out a URL with a Bear on it that says "God Made You Special"....It went around the world making its round and somehow a really good friend of Dad, Teddi (also who used to be John's babysitter) got it from one of her chat friends...She decided to send it to Dad...Dad being a curious man that he is decided to click on the "Back Home" button..He was fascinated by what he saw and read about me...So he decided to sign my guestbook and this is what he wrote...

June 20, 1998
"Hiya Sweet Lady, I'm so glad my friend sent me your homepage. I'm sending you pics of my kids and me. My son John is 28 and is currently stationed in Hawaii. Maybe you can meet him some day.lol"

And me, being the nice person that I am *ggls* emailed dad and this is what I said...(Dad forwarded this to me *S*)

"Hi Ronny... thanks for visiting...I'm glad you signed my guestbook...*S* You never know who we will meet up with one of these days....*S* Take care Diana (Babez' Corner)"

Dad and I started emailing back and forth everyday after that...He told me about his family history...and he also told me that he sent my link to his son, John...He also sent mom's picture because mom wanted me to see how she looks like since i already know how 3/4 of the family looks like...*S*... The following is some of the emails that Dad and I wrote to each other..*S*

From: Ron B. Hada
To: Babez@gte.net
Subject: Hello From Ohio
Date: Friday, June 19, 1998 8:50 PM

Hi Again,
Thought I'd put a face with my name. I'm Ron, my son is John and my daughter is Michelle. She will be a senior this fall at Ohio University, majoring in international relations, with minors in Spanish and business. I suggested to her that being fluent in Spanish will help her getting a job because so many Hispanic people live in the USA.
I'm a 3rd generation Japanese-American (our family celebrated their 100th year in this country this year) and my wife is from Puerto Rico. We could be a typical Hawaiian family from the way we look. lol
Whenever I manage to win the Ohio Lottery I plan on moving to Hawaii and California, where I have cousins. I know, keep on dreaming.........
Your Friend,
RonnyB

Hi again..*S*
I must say you have a very pretty daughter and also a HANDSOME son..Is he single?? *LOL* I guess they both got their good looks from their dad..*S*
One question, Does your son chat online?? *L*
Best wishes,
Diana

And of course Dad, being a dreamer, a wishful thinker, and a realist that he is, emailed his son, John, and this is what he wrote:

Hi John,
Sounds like Diana is interested in chatting with you. She chats on TG Chat and ICQ. I'll send you the link to her home page. She's 29 years old, has an associates degree in accounting, I think. Does tax forms, etc.
Dad

A few days after I started talking with Dad via email, John emailed me and told me a little about himself.....This is what he said...

Hi,
My Dad sent me the link to your web page. You are both very beautiful. Before I begin, let me mention that I am in the U.S. Army and that I am stationed at Schofield Barracks, HI on the island of Oahu. I am not sure how you feel about the military, but I know of some people who don't like me for what I do. I cannot change who I am, and I hope that this does not keep us from being able to chat or correspond.
I attended Kent State University for 3 1/2 years. I have earned 101 semester hours towards a Computer Science/Mathematics B.S. degree. I plan to finish my time in the Army after my current contract is up. I want to finish my secondary education and get a job in the computer field, preferably in Networking or Information systems.
I just turned 28 this past May and have spent 5 1/2 years in the Army. It is not as exciting as it used to be. Ahhh, the impetuousness of youth.
Well, anyways, I hope to hear from you sometime. If you want, add me to your contact list with my ICQ number which is located below.
John J. Hada

And so I added John to my icq list and we started communicating slowly....We message back and forth in ICQ and then started chatting in window.....Dad and I continued to keep in touched via email and also in ICQ....The following are more of the emails that dad and I wrote to each other.

Hi Diana, My wife said to send her pic since I sent everyone else's. lol Her name is Elba (Reyes) Hada and she came to live in the USA when she was 12 years old. She's 5 foot tall and wonders how tall you are. You know how nosey women can be. lol
Hope you had a nice Father's Day. I was working all day and didn't get home until 8:30pm last night. John sent me a cybermail card from Hawaii and I especially liked the sun and sand he mentioned. My sister Laura wants the family to meet some day in Hawaii for a winter vacation but I'm helping Michelle with her school expenses and haven't been taking vacations for several years. And I'm a workaholic -- it's my job/hobby even though it's very stressful at times. Since I started chatting online about 4 months ago I have another way to visit the world and relax with just a couple clicks of my mouse. And sometimes I'm very fortunate to meet wonderful people like you and Shelby. (by the way, I love kids and I'm a great babysitter, lol)
I used your link to register with TG Chat. I'm not familiar with this chat site but there are so many now days that I can't keep up. I like ICQ because of it's many features -- including the option of leaving messages for friends in diff time zones. I think John is 6 hours behind me and my friend in Scotland is 6 hours ahead of me. I use ICQ to let them know when I will be online. Sometimes I'm up all night chatting with friends because of my work schedule or their location. I also use AOL's free Instant Messenger because many people have AOL for an internet server and use IM because of its availability.
I have a friend at work (Nguyen Van Huynh) who came to the USA from Vietnam when he was 16 years old. That was in 1978. His parents and some brothers and sisters still live in Vietnam but he also has brothers in California, Canada and Hawaii. The brother in Hawaii is a fisherman and lives on Oahu, I think. I remember looking up his address with my computer. And I located a high school friend for another co-worker. His friend is now a lawyer in Pittsburgh, PA. Her name is Candace Caine but off the job it's Candy Caine -- does that sound like a lawyer's name? lol And one of my online friends in California is also named Candy -- that's her formal name, not a nickname.
If you don't mind I'd like to include you on my email list for sending interesting things that I receive from other people online. Maybe you can share them with your friends.
I guess I'm still a beginner at chat abbreviations -- what do *S* and *G* mean?
You're probably wondering when this email is going to end? I don't work today or tomorrow and have the time to go on endlessly. lol But, I'll give you a break and say : Aloha/Sayonara/Hasta Luego/Goodbye
Your Friend, RonnyB

Hello again..
Your wife, Elba is very beautiful..*S* You can tell her that we are the same height unless I wear heels..*LOL* I must say, you have a very beautiful family.....you guys must be a close net family..*S* My family is very close too...we try to celebrate all the holidays together especially thanksgiving and christmas...its two of my favorite holidays.*S*
BTW, I chatted with your son, John, yesterday..he seems very nice and very sweet..*S=smile*...He also emailed me telling me about his background, his educations and his military position.. You've raised a very intelligent, sweet young man..you and your wife should be very proud of him..*S* Which I know you are..*S* He also told me about the digital camera you have installed with your pc...I think its great.....
Its my pleasure to meet such wonderful people like you and your son, too and yes, you can add me to your email list.. *S*......You mean you're not a grandfather yet?? *LOL*
I also sent John the link to the chat room I chat in...its pretty cool.. try it sometimes..its the first room I chatted in when I first came online almost a year ago..I never left since then..*S*...Its the only chat room I chat in..I also have icq.....I was telling John that I'm organizing a gathering here in Maui for next february for the people who chat in TG...This event started a little over a year ago...the latest one was held in Las Vegas just last month..I, for one have not attended one yet..but I will now...I'm going to be hosting a one soon... One thing though, I hate to go up in front of the people and give speech...*LOL*...its the one weakness I have...I get stage freight...*L* Hopefully a good friend of mines I met in tg will help me...I'm hoping she will do the talking..*L*
Before this letter gets pretty long, I better say bye for now.. Take care and tell your wife I said "hello"
*hugs*
Diana

Hiya Diana,
Wow!! You sent a *hug* all the way to Ohio. Just for being your special sweet self I am sending you this link you can share with your friends... http://members.tripod.com/~tassiedevil/lotzahugs.htm
No, I'm not a grandfather yet but I absolutely LOVE kids. Elba said 2 kids are enough and I've always felt deprived. lol At work nobody can believe that I'm going to be 55 years old on Nov. 17. They think I'm around 40 years old. My grandma on my mother's side is 102 years old this year so when I say I don't age I'm not kidding. Last Wednesday one of the "young guns" at work challenged me to a push-up contest. He did 40 with 2 hands. I did 50 with one hand and could have done more. Some kind of freaky thing because my arms look about half the size of your brother Gil's. lol
Thank you for the nice email. My wife & I think you are very beautiful and I sure wish we could meet some day. Elba is REALLY outgoing and everybody she meets likes her immediately. That's the Spanish in her. She is also a mix of everything else there is, so our kids are related to everyone in the world. *S*
Have to end this email now. My daughter Michelle has to write a report for the President of the small company she is working for this summer. She is interning in the office and learning basic office tasks like accounts payable and receivable. Next school year she has to attend one semester at the University of Puerto Rico for her Spanish minor. Elba might visit P.R. at the same time to introduce Michelle to her Spanish relatives on the island. Sounds kinda exciting.
When I listed you on ICQ I noticed you have a Spanish sounding last name? Are you part Hispanic? You could be one of my kids. *S*
Love Ya,
Ronny

Actually, I was married, before that is why my last name sound kind of spanish. well, the divorce is not final yet..I'm hoping it soon would be though...been married for six years this past may 23....It was good at the beginning like all marriages supposed to be, but things just took a downfall after that....It was partly my fault, too, why the marriage failed..but I've been unhappy for the last 3 years of our marriage because of he is irresponsilbe and among other things that I don't really care to discuss..sorry...*sigh*
Thats why I updated my "About Me" page in my homepage because to me, I've been a single parent for the last 3-4 years......Now I will definately have that title, legally...*LOL*
Anyways, I need to get going here, I'm going to take my daughter to see "mulan"...I promised her..*S*
Take care and give Elba my love and to you too...*hugs*
aloha,
Diana

Hello Diana,
Once upon a time my friend Teddi Jane sent me a Teddy Bear card and I just happened to have enough time to check the homepage of a lovely Hawaiian lady named Diana. I eventually forwarded the link to my son, who Teddi Jane used to babysit. https://www.angelfire.com/hi/hilookalike/BEAR.html Fate brought you to me and we will be best friends until you marry again. Whether or not you become an official member of my family you will be a part of my heart for all time. After you marry you will have other priorities and other rainbows to follow. My duty as your guardian angel will have been met and the next time we meet may be in eternity. I am eternity................
Always and Forever,
RonnyB

p.s. You may think of me as a dreamer and wishful thinker but my chat friends seem to believe in me. And when they eventually believe in themselves good fortune follows. I believe in you Diana.........you have become your own woman.

Dear Mr. Hada, (Dad)
Thank you for a lovely letter...As always, you have touched my heart once more...Your letters and messages brings joy into my life and It has become a daily routine for me to check my messages just to see if there are messages or letters from you...
You are very wise and, yes, a dreamer and a wishful thinker, and I don't want you to be any other way....I wish someday I can make your dreams and wish come true...Time will only tell what the future will bring for me, for you and for our families..
That Teddy Bear I sent out about a month ago, I'm not sure how I came upon that little card...but I kept it with me and one day when I was at the computer store to scan some pics, I decided to scan it and pass it around to my friends and it eventually went around the world and its still going...and you're right, FATE was the one that brought us together and became friends....but I consider you more than a friend now..Yes, you are my Guardian angel...I needed one and there you are...Thank you for finding me..Thank you for keeping me and shelby in your heart and thank you for introducing me to your family..You and your family will always hold a special place in my heart and I hope someday we will be able to meet in person so I can give you and Mrs. Hada hugs that I've been wanting to give...
And Thank you for believing in me....I love you
your cyber daughter,
Diana

Hello again.....I want to thank you all for the wonderful cards... I love the song that came with it too...its been playing for over half an hour now and I still haven't change my window..*S* Still listening to the music....it brings me peace which I haven't had for a while...*sigh*
Again, you guys are so wonderful...glad i got the chance to met you in cyberspace..who knows maybe someday we all can meet up in real life..*S*
Take care and god bless
love,
Diana

Hello Sweetie,
I registered at TG Chat to see what it's like but don't know much about chat rooms. How do I get to the specific room where you chat? Does it have a name or number. TG Chat is down for repairs at this time so I can't explore it now.
Have to zip off to the post office and mail something to a cyber friend in California. Her daughter just miscarried her 1st baby. Last week the same thing happened to a friend at work. I used to take having babies for granted -- like it was automatic, or something. I guess it's a lot more complicated and precious than that. I'm so glad you have a beautiful, healthy daughter and I'm happy that you treasure her like a little angel.
Your Friend,
RonnyB

Aloha from Maui...*hugs*...... TG is going through recycling process again..*sigh*...The room I usually chat in is "Castle Noir"....you won't find me in the who's on list cause I'm one of the TG Gems (immortal member) which offers a few benefitss including the freedom to lurk without letting anyone know you're there..you could say "I'm a spy" *LOL*
I'm there mostly at my evening..sometimes I do chat their in my afternoons. let me know when you're going to be in there and I'll try to meet up with you so I can introduce you to some of my friends that are online at that time..
BTW (by the way) John and I been chatting in icq..he's really a sweet guy and we get along well...I'm going to see him in icq again this evening....and we might even go out when I go up to see my friend on Oahu next month..*S* I'm not definately sure yet when I'm going up most likely in the middle of July.
Anyways, tell Mrs. Hada I said "hello" and give her a hug from me...and a hug for you too...*S*....I don't know what to call you, I don't want to call you...Sorry, I don't like to call my elders by their first name...I like to respect my elders..its how I was brought up...you know Filipino custom...*S*..Take care and god bless...
Love,
Diana

Hello Diana,
OK -- you can call me Ron, instead of RonnyB like all my other chat firends. If you call me Mr. Hada I'm going to feel very old. lol Mrs. Hada would want you to call her Elba. You definitely don't want to make HER feel old. But, if it really bothers you please feel free to call us Mr. & Mrs. Hada. *S*
When I was in the Air Force, in New Jersey, I dated 2 Hawaiian ladies. One was half Hawaiian-half haole. The other was Phillipino and really pretty, like you. Fortunately for John they were transferred to other Air Force bases and I eventually married Elba. Or we wouldn't be chatting now about John. *S*
Good luck with whatever happens. Elba and I already like you a lot. Must be fate that sent your homepage to me from my cyber friend . And guess what? Teddi Jane used to babysit John and Michelle. Is life strange, or what?
Love You,
RonnyB (Mr. Hada)

Hello again...*hugs*
I don't want to make any of you feel old....*S* that word is too "UGLY" isn't it? *laughing* but I don't want to go by first name basis also.. makes me feel weird....And as for mom & dad, ummmm, well, its kind of premature but I do call some of my elder friends "mom" and they don't mind at all....but I don't want John to feel weird either...I don't want to put him in a situation where he's not ready yet or myself for that matter....I just want to get to know him and be friends with him first...*S*..He's really nice and I enjoy chatting with him...I'm kind of excited meeting with him too...*S*
So, you are thinking of coming to the Maui Gathering?..I'm really not the type to speak in front of a bunch of people..I never liked it since high school all the way to college..and until now too...but my daughter, gosh, she's a perfromer...she's into hula and tahitian..I also started taking hula and tahitian lessons...on my 3rd week now..I love it.. I wish I started taking classes when I was a little younger..I can't believe it, i'm going to be thirty in less than 3 months...*sigh* feeling really old now...*L* But still VERY YOUNG at heart..*ggls*
well, Mr & Mrs Hada, mom & dad, (whichever you prefer) don't work too hard...let me know when you want to meet me in tg....mostly here at my nights but i'm free in the afternoons too..*S*
Take care and god bless..
love,
Diana

Dear Diana,
I apologize for being so pushy. Not usual behavior for an Asian but people like to chat with me because I keep things humorous and upbeat. I was trying to be amusing and kinda messed things up. I will try to be more conservative with you since you haven't chatted with me and don't even know my online personality. Am I forgiven? Mrs Hada will not be happy if I have offended you in any way.
Your Friend,
Mr. Hada

No, you have not offended me in any way...honestly...*S* and you're not being pushy one bit...You know, I've been thinking about it and its not so bad to have a dad and mom I can call in here, thats if you both don't mind...*S*
I hope you're not working so hard...I remember you said you'll be working 14 hours a day today and tomorrow...Rest is very important..*S*
Hope to chat with you in TG soon...For now, I'm going to take a nap..been up since 2:20 this morning..went fishing..*S*
Take care...*hugs*
love,
Diana

Hello.....sorry, I think the connection was lost again...*sigh It was great chatting with you tonight....really had a good laugh and you got to know more about me and my so called "life"..*LOL*
I hope the storms let out over there cause tomorrow we'll have another gorgeous day....*S* Hope to see you before you go to work tomorrow...i'l try to be online early...
John did not come online tonight.....he must be pretty busy.. Maybe tomorrow we'll hook up....*S*
Take care and love ya guys..*hugs*
Diana

Thank you for the emails.....its good to read something when you're just waking up......made me laugh...*S*..
. I hope you have a great day too....sorry you won't be online tonight..but I'll be thinking of my wonderful dad working away all night....*S*....
Take care....*hugs*
your cyber daughter,
Diana

Hello Diana,
Mrs Hada and I just read the letter regarding your conversation with John. It has been very nice wiritng to you and even talking with you -- Mrs Hada's favorite method of communication. Now that we have become friends I would like to invite you over to have dinner with us. I have enclosed a pic of what we will be eating: roast chicken breast with wild rice and gravy. The vegetable will be broiled tomatoe slices with Chinese pea pods. Actually, I would prefer a different veggie and may substitute something -- but it won't be okra. *S* Mrs Hada's mom loves okra but I didn't eat it as a child and am not used to it. Please let us know when you might be able to visit with us. If dinner is not possible than perhaps we could chat with our mics some time so Mrs Hada can participate; she enjoyed talking to you last week and would like to try it again. Please let us know. Dad

Hi dad....*hugs*
I sure could use those lucky charms....But the most important one is my heart..*S*....And Thanks for the dinner invitation.....I'm sorry, but it have to be some other time...maybe next year sometimes when I can figure out my schedules and when I'm free...The roast chicken sure looks good...mmmmmmmmmmmm..
I hope you and mom enjoy the weekend..sure going to miss you though...but JJ will be here friday night, (tonight) to keep me company...tomorrow night I'm going to my 10th year class reunion...after the reunion, a few friends and I are going to a bar just to relax and catch up with one another....I wish I had a date though..*pout*....Oh well, at least I know I have something to look forward to in two weeks, I'll be in Oahu....that means no puter for the whole weekend...but I'll be having much more fun than chatting online...but I will miss chatting with you...I will give you a call while i'm up there..maybe you can even talk to john since he's going to be with us for the entire time...
I have to get going now....hope to chat with you soon...take care..
love ya,
Diana
