Orson and Shiris are two mercenaries that eventually meet up with Parn later in the AOV series. Orson is a Berserker mercenary who roams the countryside with his partner Shiris. When Orson was younger his town was ravaged by a pack of orcs and goblins. He watched as his sister was murdered and as a result was possessed by Hrury's curse. Hrury is the god of anger and aggression and he yearned for revenge so much that he was possessed by this god/demon. His red eyes widened, the landscape turned crimson and he slayed an entire pile of orcs even at his young age. Shiris happened to be strolling around the area (Since she was a mercenary) and she picked up Orson and brought him with her. Since Orson had no family, he decided he would join up with Shiris and become a mercenary. Since then Orson has become a great swordsman and wield his gigantic broadsword with great accuracy. Orson now despises Hrury's curse (Read about this in the story on my page called Hrury's curse by Dweomer) and because of it he can feel no emotions except for anger. Shiris is the only one who can stop Orson when he is possessed of aggression. I'm guessing this is because Shiris is like a replacement for his sister. He thinks of her in that way and he would do anything for his sister. Shiris is a fiery woman who meets up with Parn because she finds him amusing. Orson and Shiris fight beside many others in the major and inevitable battle for Lodoss. They were such impressive fighters that King Cashue actually asked them to join his army.
