Some stuff regarding tanning...

Skin specialists often repeat themselves, "no tan is healthy for your skin, whether obtained at the beach or with indoor tanning lamps." According to Dr. Dennis Lynch, of the ASPRS, "Suntanning, especially indoor tanning, has only negative heatlh consequences, whether they are short-term effects like red, or dry and itchy skin or longterm ones like premature wrinkles, sagging skin and skin cancers.
While skin cancers can be found on all parts of the body, Lynch says that 80 percent appear on the the face, head or neck, where they can be disfiguring as well as dangerous. They develop many years after exposure to ultraviolet light, but sometimes can occur in younger people, even in their later teens and early 20s. To avoid burning, apply sunscreen between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and don't forget to re-apply after periods of time.
