1820-Abraham Field bought 200 acres for $80 from Benjamin R. Field
(both sons of Keen Field & Anna Lewis)
This indenture made the 9th of June one thousand eight hundred and twenty, Between Benjamin R. Field of Gibson County and State of Indiana of the one part and Abraham Field of the County and State aforesaid of the other part-witnesseth that the said Benjamin R. Field for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty dollars lawful money of the State to him in hand paid before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged that granted Bargain sold and by these presents doth Absolutely grant bargain sell and convey the said Abraham Field his heirs and assigns forever the said Benjamin R. Field his full part of a two hundred acre tract of land which belongs to the estate of Keen Field Decd. together with all the appurtenances thereto belonging and furthermore the said Benjamin R. Field doth also bind himself and his heirs to warrant and by their presents forever to defend the above described premises unto the said Abraham Field his heirs or assigns as aforesaid against the lawful Claim or Claims of any person or persons whatsoever In testimony whereof the said Benjamin R. Field hath hereunto set his hand and seal in the presence of

Be it remembered that on the the [sic] 12th day of June 1820. Personally appeared the within named Benjamin R. Field and acknowledged the written and foregoing indenture to be his own voluntary act and deed for the purposes therein contained and derived the same to be recorded as such.
