Reconstruction of Decks

Many good cards from Fourth Edition were taken out before Fifth Edition was created. Some of these were first turn creature removal cards that were great ways to get creatures out of the game early. Without this there is now no way to remove creatures on the first turn. The removal of the Serra Angel probably had the biggest impact on the TypeII tournament enviorment. Now the white weenie decks have no adequete flyer to help them. White Weenie Decks were also hurt by the removal of Swords to Plowshares. These cards were the backbone of the deck and their removal will be crippling to the White Weenie. The Ivory Tower was also a profound cards that was removed, though it was already resticted. Because no new cards were added no deck gets any new dominating cards. But some of these decks were helped by the removal of cards that were tradtional enemys of those decks. A number people (I know I one,) really hated the Serra Angel because it was both hard to kill and was just a flat out good card. I personally would be throwing a party about the removal of the Serra, if it wasn't for the removal of Swords to Plowshares (Sob) That's about it. Sorry I used the word "removal" so much.
