"DRUG BUST"
By: Diamond Starr

While on location just last week in Tulsa, Oklahoma covering a tornado story for my reality job, I witnessed something I never thought I’d see… well maybe it could have been expected, but … well here’s the story.
I was standing in a small neighborhood. On one side of the street were neatly mowed yards, children playing, two cars in every driveway, and a white picket fences lined most yards. On the other side was disaster. Ruins of houses, debris covered cars, distraught residents tried to salvage bits of belongings from their former homes.
As I was taking in the scenery, I glanced to my left. I noticed a boy with long blonde hair wearing baggy parachute pants and a fitted black sweater. One pant leg was rolled up, indicating drug involvement...
Diving behind a tree, I watched through the leaves as he leaned into a run down old-mans car.
Tucking a large roll of cash into his
back pocket, he handed the man in the vehicle a small bag of what appeared to be a white powdery substance.
I continued to watch as Zac Hanson nodded at the man, and watched him speed off. He focused his eyes down at his feet and walked fast down the street.
Hurrying back to my news van, I changed into my “play clothes”. I put on my baggy jeans and rolled up the pant leg opposite of the pants modeled by Zachary. Putting on my baggy tee shirt and tying another tightly around my head, I hurried to catch up to the dealer. Approaching him, a cleared my throat to get his attention. Discreetly handing him all of the cash from my pocket, he reached into his pocket and removed another small bag, nearly identical to the one given to the man in the beat up primer-gray vehicle.
Hearing a siren from behind, I realized that I got myself in deep this time...
I tried to run, only to be tackled by a
short stalky man in uniform. Yanking my arms behind me, he placed the cold metal bracelets around my arm and threw me into the back of his lit-up vehicle.
A tall handsome officer followed the same procedure with Zac. I knew I’d need Desdemona and Davette to help me this time… as always.
Arriving at the local station, we were thrown into neighboring cells. Minutes later, two worried middle-aged people rushed in with tears in their eyes. I found later that it was Mr. and Mrs. Hanson… Zac’s parents. I tried to get an interview, but the guard informed me that it wasn’t the time. Judging by the look on his face, I knew he meant it.
I sat quietly observing the Hanson family as they took their not-so-innocent son out of the room. Only seconds after they pulled away in their car, Desdemona and Davette arrived. Boy did I have a story to tell them!
