Chapter 2

Frustrated, and bored out of his mind, Isaac was lying restlessly in his hotel bed. "Why isn't D home?!!" He asked for the hundredth time that minute.
Taylor stood up and threw a pillow, hitting him square in the face. "Shut up, man!" He shouted. "We all love Charm, but just shut up about her!"
Watching his brother in amusement, Isaac saw his face flushing from shouting and he was just, all in all, funny looking. And he just started laughing at him... and continued laughing.
    Taylor looked at Zac questioningly.
Zac only shrugged and rolled his eyes. "Great!" He stated hopelessly looking at his, obvious, mad older brother. "I really hope Mackie can play the guitar already. Cause this one's broken."
Tossing Zac an amused smile, Taylor went over to Isaac. Who was still laughing. "Yo, Ike? You okay?" He asked, concerned for his brother’s mental health. And the future of the band.
There was a knock on the door, and Isaac rushed over to answer it. Still laughing.
When he walked back in though, he was holding a small package, and he wasn't laughing.
Slowly he sank down onto his bed.
"What ya got there, Ike?" Zac asked, curiosity always seemed to get the better of him.
Isaac looked up at Zac, in his deep thoughts he managed to say, "It's a package. From D."
"What's wrong with that? I thought that you would be happy to get something from Charm." Zac stated, confused by his brother's reaction.
Taylor was watching Isaac closely as he spoke quietly to Zac. "The last time Ike got a package from Charm she was calling it quits on their friendship."
Jerking his head up, Isaac looked worried. He heard Taylor talking to Zac. "God, what if she's calling it quits on us?" He asked, straining the last word.
Zac sighed heavily, "Give me that." He said swiping the package from Isaac's grasp.
Isaac went to grab it back, but Zac already had it opened and he held a cassette tape in his hand.
Isaac paled, "That's it. We're over." He whispered as he sunk back down onto his bed in shock.
Zac rolled his eyes and stuck the tape in their stereo. A slow beat pounded out. Then came the words:

Hello. Can you hear me. Am I getting through to you. Hello. Is it late there. Is there laughter on the line. Are you sure you're there alone. 'Cause I'm trying to explain. Something's wrong. You just don't sound the same. Why don't you, Why don't you. Go outside, Go outside. Kiss the rain. Whenever you need me. Kiss the rain. Whenever I'm gone too long. If your lips, feel hungry and thirsty. Kiss the rain. And wait for the dawn. Keep in mind. We're under the same sky. And the nights. Are as empty for me as for you. If you feel, you can't wait 'til mornin’. Kiss the rain. Kiss the rain. Kiss the rain.
Isaac sat up in his bed, smiling, as he continued to listen as Billie Myers voice sang clearly. He looked down at his hands and saw a note there that had been attached to the package. He opened the envelope, took out the paper, unfolded it, and read it.
    Then he started laughing.
"What's it say, Ike?" Taylor asked walking over to him. Curious about if Dahven was just messing with Isaac's head for fun or not.
Isaac looked up grinning broadly. "It says, 'Scared ya, didn't I? Call me at seven-two-five-three- five-one-five-five-three-five. Right now."
    Taylor started laughing too.
"Well, call her already!" Zac said impatiently, as he threw him their father's cell phone.
"D? Don't ever do that to me again!" Isaac said after he dialed the number. "Yeah, we do have a great connection."
"Sorry, I had to get you back from a long time ago." Dahven explained to Isaac as she talked into her cell phone.
It was dark out and the thunder rolled loudly, complimenting the rain that had been pouring for the last half-hour.
“It's a shame that it's raining in Paris." Dahven replied nonchalantly, as she smiled to herself.
Isaac was listening to the song, as well as to Dahven. Just then the song went:

Is it stormy where you are. You sound so close. But it feels like you're so far. Oh, would it mean anything, if you knew, what I'm left imagining, In my mind, in my mind, would you go, would you go, kiss the rain.
Isaac stood up quickly. "D, where are you?" He asked as he went to the door and checked down the hallways. He heard Dahven giggling over the phone, and walked back in and pulled back the curtains to the balcony.
Dahven was standing there. Smiling, and completely drenched. Isaac opened the sliding door and embraced Dahven. Each dropping their cell phones.
She hungrily accepted Isaac's kisses, as he enveloped her in his arms.
"I missed you so badly." He whispered raggedly in her ear.
Before Dahven could respond Isaac kissed her again. She responded automatically. She felt good and safe in his arms, and she never wanted to leave them again.
"Kiss the rain." She murmured against his lips.
Completely comfortable in his embrace, she breathed in his scent, and the rain that continued to pour down on them. "This is kind of hard to believe, isn't it?" She asked burying her face into his shoulder.
Isaac stroked her wet hair and slowly but gently ran his hand up and down her back with his other hand.
He buried his face into her hair, closing his eyes, and breathing in the scent of the fresh rain. "I'm always afraid that I'm going to wake up and that you won't be right beside me. That you won't love me anymore." He whispered softly against her temple.
He didn't know that he had said it loud enough for her to hear him; but just stating his fear out loud made him feel more strongly towards her.
His warm breath on her ear sent shivers and shock waves down Dahven's spine. She pulled back ever so slightly and stared deeply into his eyes. Smiling a soft warm smile she whispered back. "Friends. Forever. Remember?" She asked before she placed her lips on his.
She kissed him with the feelings that only seemed to build up inside her.
Isaac pulled her closer. Responding to her every kiss. With his own feelings that had been building up since he had last seen her.
"Think we should interrupt?" Zac asked as he watched Isaac and Dahven kiss as they stood in the rain.
"Zac! Ike would kill us!" Taylor pointed out.
Then he smiled slyly. "Let's do it."
Mrs. Hanson placed her hands on her son's shoulders. "Hold it my angels, that are actually devils in disguise. Leave Ike and Charm alone." She warned.
Zac pouted. "No fair!" He said crossing his arms.
Taylor shrugged; "Well, Charm does deserve time with Ike. After all, she did get rid of Devil Lady." He rationalized.
"Yeah." Zac said nodding his head in agreement. "But, Tay, if she gets that excuse, we'll never see Ike again."
Laughing, Taylor pushed Zac away from the window and the view of Isaac and Dahven in their little make out session.
"Oh, darn." Dahven mumbled. "We lost our audience."
"Aww, shucks." Isaac replied before kissing her again.
Then someone opened the sliding door. Mrs. Hanson stood there trying to hold back her smile. "Come in you two. Before you catch colds."
Isaac and Dahven reluctantly walked back into the room. Taking the towels that were handed to them they were each told to take a shower. (A separate shower!)
They did, and Dahven borrowed some dry clothes from Isaac, since she obviously had none of her own to wear.
When Dahven came out in Isaac's clothing everyone in the room started laughing or tried to hold back their laughter. She had to hold the sweat pants up so that they didn't fall, and the shirt hung above her knees. "Umm, the shirt's okay. But does anyone have a belt?" She asked slightly blushing.
Zac was laughing when he handed her his. "Here you go." He said as he tried to stop laughing.
Dahven nodded and went back into the bathroom. A few seconds later she came back out smiling. "It works!" She stated relieved.
Isaac came in from his parent’s room. "Well," He started, looking at how big his clothes were on Dahven, and at how actually small she was.
"She looks better in them then you do, Ike." Taylor said laughing.
"Yeah, but they don't fall off me." He pointed out.
Isaac, Dahven, Taylor, and Zac crowded the floor in front of the TV. They had blankets down and pillows propped up against the beds.
"What happened to Julia?" Zac asked as they were all staring at the TV screen.
"She went back to hell." Dahven mumbled to herself. Isaac heard her though and he chuckled lightly. "Umm, I think she went back to Beverly Hills." She said out loud.
"Good. I thought she was going to be here forever." Isaac said angrily as he clenched his fists.
Dahven saw this and placed her hand over his fist, she looked up at him pleadingly. Asking him to let it go.
It was then that Isaac relaxed his hand and Dahven gave him a quick peck on the cheek.
They noticed that Zac was laughing. "No, not forever, Ike." He said laughing some more. "Forever's a long time."
They all laughed because Zac had stated the most obvious and they continued to watch TV. Soon they were all sleeping in a huge bundle on the floor.
Dahven wrapped tightly in Isaac's warm embrace while Taylor and Zac were feet apart.
