Chapter 5

Waking slowly, Dahven smiled as rain beat down hard on her windowpane.
She decided to call Isaac to see what he was doing, and smiled as she found a pair of fresh clothes and quickly changed into them. Choosing to call him first she dialed his number.
"Hey, Zac!" Dahven said cheerfully. "Yes, I’d like to talk to Isaac. Thank you, Zac." She said as she waited for Isaac to pick up the extension.
"Hi!" Dahven greeted happily when she heard his voice. "I want and need to do something. Plus I have some news. Cool. I’ll wait out front. Yeah, sure they can come, but we get tonight alone." She warned.
She grinned suddenly. "Good. Okay, bye-bye." She laughed, "Bye, Isaac. Uh huh. Good bye, Isaac." She said hanging up the phone.
"Weird guy." She murmured before she laughed yet again, and went to find some breakfast.

"Ike!" Zac shouted as he pounded on the bathroom door. "Come on! Save some of the water for the fishies!" He whined.
Taylor was sitting on the floor, with his back against the wall across the hallway. He watched as Zac mercilessly pounded on the door that separated them and Isaac. He smiled when he started to kick at it next.
Twenty minutes later Isaac came out fully dressed and ready to go. "Why aren’t you two ready yet?" He asked staring at his younger brothers.
Zac rolled his eyes as he walked into the bathroom, he just slammed the door on Isaac in reply.
"Perhaps the fact that Zac had been beating on that door for almost forty-five minutes until you decided to come out, is the reason why we're not ready yet." Taylor said as he looked up at Isaac from his seat on the floor.
Isaac stared down at him, "Oh." Was all he said before he walked back into his room, that he shared with his brothers.
He looked around studying the room. Dirty socks and clothes crowded the floor, along with shoes and sheet music. Then there was the Lego’s. They were everywhere it seemed.
He smiled as he looked at their memorabilia on the walls.
Memories wrapped Isaac up that he didn't even noticed that someone had walked in and was watching him.
"Hey, whatcha doin', Ike?" Zac asked curiously as he went to their dresser and picked up the wooden brush and brushing his hair quickly, giggling as static electricity made it stand up.
"Nothin' really, Zac. Just thinking. Remembering some good memories, that’s all. Why?" He asked looking at him, smiling.
Zac shrugged, "No reason. You just looked a little out of it. " He shrugged again. "So what are you and Charm going to do for your three month anniversary?"
"Stuff that I’m not going to tell you about yet." Isaac replied simply.
"Is it because you still haven’t planned anything yet?" He asked smiling.
Isaac shook his head. "I got a few things planned. But I haven’t gotten them all ready yet. I don’t want to say something and then not deliver." He said calmly.
"Hey, can we go now?" Taylor asked as he stuck his head in the room.
"Yep." Isaac said walking towards the door. "Let’s go."
Heading out, the talked and teased each other on the ten minute drive.
Dahven waited patiently for Isaac and his brothers to pick her up. Her mother and father arrived unexpectedly and unannounced for a visit.
Mainly to torture her and her brother she presumed, but saying that they just wanted to check up on them.
She shuddered at the fact of them being in her house now. She didn’t like it, and she wanted nothing more than for them to get out.
Out of her house and out of her life. For good this time though.
Finally she saw them approaching her driveway. Breathing a sigh of relief when it stopped and Isaac got out.
He gave her a hug and a quick kiss, before he went and opened the passenger side door for her.
She smiled as she turned around and greeted Zac and Taylor. "Hey guys!" She said brightly.
"Charm whose cars are those?" Zac asked as he pointed to the two Mercedes' that were parked in front of her garage.
White fire spit from her eyes. "Syrus and Kasha decided to come for a visit." She said guardedly.
Isaac turned and gave her a sympathetic glance. "So was that the news?" He asked gently as he steered the cer around a corner.
Quickly Dahven shook her head. "No. That wasn't the news. The news was that Essence is actually related to Julia. She is Julia’s older sister." She retorted bitterly.
"Today is not your day, is it?" Taylor asked as he stared out his window. His mind was pre-occupied with something else. (Not concerning Dahven!)
Sighing, Dahven’s shoulders slumped over. "No, it’s not. God is punishing me, and I didn’t do anything wrong this time." She said as she pretended to pout.
    Isaac and Zac laughed.
"Maybe you should try and do something then." Zac suggested.
"Yes. Maybe I should." Dahven said thoughtfully. Then she shook her head. "Nah." She said waving her hand dismissing the idea. "That sounds like physical exertion to me. And I don't want any part of that."
Suddenly Isaac stomped on the brake pedal. Slamming everyone in the minivan against their seatbelts.
"What in the hell…" Dahven started as she unhooked her seatbelt, rubbing at her now sore shoulder.
She got out of the car looking over at the person who was stupid enough to stand in the middle of the road.
"Julia!" She shouted, as her blood instantly went to boiling point. "What the hell are you doing back here?" She asked harshly.
Julia smiled sweetly at her. "Now is that anyway to treat your sister-in-law?" She asked, her voice irritating and falsely sweet.
Though the tone did seem to match her personality perfectly.
Getting back in the car, Isaac maneuvered his way around her and they continued on in silence.
Stepping into her room later that night, Dahven rotated her tired shoulders and tried to work the kinks out of her neck.
"So how was your date with Isaac?" Julia asked as the venom dripped off her words when she flipped on the light.
Smiling, though the muscles knotted tight, she answered, "It was great. I wished that you could’ve seen us." She said sweetly. "We're so in love now."
Julia turned her back on her. Causing Dahven to laugh. "You should never turn your back on me, Julia." She warned in an amusing tone.
"Why?" Julia asked as she turned around to face her again. Curious as to why she would make such a statement.
"Because unless you like the feel of a cold blade in between your shoulders you just shouldn’t." Dahven replied shrugging her shoulders and lying in her bed.
Julia stretched out on the floor. "So what’s it like coming from a broken home?" She asked as she smiled to herself.
Dahven cleared her throat noisily, keeping her emotions tightly under control. "I’m being forced to share my room with you, Julia. No one said I had to share the air that’s in this room." She pointed out. "Now shut up and go to sleep." She ordered coldly.
Soon Julia did fall asleep. But there was no way that Dahven was going to allow herself to fall asleep before Julia. She was crazy, but not stupid.
