I took the letter that I had found to Ike’s grave, and left the baby with Tay and Zac.
"Ike, its me, Angel." I stopped to catch my shaky breath. "I found the letter you wrote to your brothers about me. Ike, I loved you so much. You had no idea how much I gave for you." I started to cry.
"How could you do this to me? And our baby?" I stopped again to catch my breath. "That night that you had been drinking, you were out of control, Ike. You tried to rape me… you could have hurt the baby."
I started feeling weak, so I sat down. "The doctors tell me that I don't have that much longer to live, so our baby isn't gonna know either of us, Ike. Because of your stupidity."
I stood up, this isn't my fault, I thought to myself standing over the grave. I could have done something to help. I began to cry harder, and I fell to the ground.
"Angel!!!" Lucy called out, but there was no answer. "Angel, NO!!! You cannot die on me! Not here, not now!!!" She screamed
Lucy put Angel’s body in her car.
"Ang, I don't know how to drive your dumb car!!!" Lucy yelled then she hit the gas and headed for the Hanson’s.
"Zac!!!!!!!" Lucy hollered. "TAY!!!! HELP!!!!!! Come quick."
"What’s wrong, Luce?" Zac asked coming up to her.
"LOOK!" She pointed to Angel’s body.
"Uh, oh." Zac said. "Call nine-one-one, Taylor!!!" He screamed.
"Why, Zac?" He yelled back.
"Just do it!" He hollered.
"I can't believe it hasn't even be two weeks and we are already having another funeral!" Lucy exclaimed emphatically.
"First Ike and now Ang." Jay cried holding Angel’s baby in her arms.
"Here, Jay." Tay said handing her a baby bottle. "In time for lunch."
Zac and Tay headed for the front. They began to sing “With You In Your Dreams."
"Zac?" Tay said crying. "I can't believe we buried another friend what are we gonna do with Jamie Lucille?"
About that time Jay, Libby, and Lucy walked up.
"This will answer your question." Libby said handing them the letter. "Here read this."
Dear Zac, Tay, Jay, Lucy, and Libby,
I know I am gonna die, guys, and I want all of you to take care of JL because I know that you will do a good job in raising her. I know one day you all will be married and families of your own maybe before she grows up maybe not but all the same it would mean a lot to me.
I love you guys very much, please don't cry at my funeral. I've made a list of things I want everyone to have it in my room in the closet, but the mail thing is JL and you already know what to do...
I don't know when I'm gonna die and I'm crummy at saying goodbye so please guys just take care of yourselves and since I don't like saying goodbye, I guess I'll just say "I'll be seeing you."
By the time you read this I'll probably be dead so give JL a kiss for me and try to comfort my mom and dad and sister, Cassidy.
Well I'll be seeing you I love you!!!!
P.S. I love you Cassidy.
We could tell that it had been cried on.
Zac, Tay, Jay, Lucy, Libby and JL all went back to the Hanson’s house where Angel’s mom was.
"Hey Jay, may I hold my granddaughter? Angel’s father and Cassidy will be leaving tonight."
Jay handed JL over to Angel’s mom.
Karren sat holding the baby saying, "Oh Jamie Lucille, your mama was such a good sweet girl, here ya go sweetie, this is for you." She had her husband bring in a chest and kissed JL and gave her back to Jay and left.
"What do you suppose is in there?" Lucy asked.
"I dunno." Tay responded.
"Lets open!!" Zac screeched.
The five of them sat down and opened the chest. Tay pulled out a picture and tears welled up in his eyes.
"Look." He showed the picture to Jay. "It’s Ike and Ang at his eighteenth birthday party."
Jay began to cry.
"Oh, look." Libby said laughing a little. "It’s a baby picture of Ang... and JL looks just like her!" Libby exclaimed. "That’s sooo cute."
They all sat there, looking through pictures of Ike and Ang and themselves. Laughing and crying.
"We'll always love you, Angel. And we promise to take care of lil' JL for you." Tay said to a picture of angel.
"Hey, what’s this?" Zac asked curiously. "A letter tilted ‘my precious friends.’ "
