“Do you know what I hate?” Shana asked as she, Zac, Taylor, Shannon, and Isaac piled into Isaac’s car.

“What?” Taylor asked as he slammed the door shut.

“Hey, easy on the door, Tay.” Isaac said giving him a brief look.

He nodded to Isaac, and then turned his attention back to Shana. “What do you hate?” He asked her curiously.

“I hate it when the elves in my head are fighting.” She said gripping the sides of her head. “Man, do they hurt badly.”

“Do you know what I hate?” Shannon asked as she turned around in her seat to face them.

“Zac stared at her for a moment. “Okay, I’m gonna be the brave one and ask.” He said sighing. “What do you hate, Shann?”

Shannon smiled at him. “I hate it when someone asks me, ‘Do you know what I hate?’ ” She said before she turned back around in her seat.

They started laughing, and Shana forgot about her headache, and thought more about how close her and Taylor were at that moment.

‘Hmm, if Ike takes a left turn… I’m gonna be smooshed right up against him.’ Shana thought as she started to plead silently to Isaac to make a left turn. ‘Please, oh please, oh please.’ She begged his brain.

Slowly, as if he had heard her, Isaac signaled that he was going to make a left turn.

‘Yes, there is a God.’ Shana screamed to herself. Her insides were jumping up and down for joy, and her heart was racing with excitement and anticipation. ‘Happy, happy, joy, joy.’ She sang to herself.

Then… “Isaac, we need to go right! Not left!” Shannon shouted quickly, pointing to the right lane.

Quickly, Isaac signaled to go right, and Shana felt her heart drop down into her sneakers.

She started shooting daggers into the back of Shannon’s head. ‘There is a devil too.’ She reminded herself as she got smooshed into Zac, instead of Taylor.

Zac looked down at her and smiled, then pushed her away from him. Pushing her into Taylor!

Laughing, she pointed at Zac. “He did it.” She accused, but silently thanked him.

Taylor gave her an evil grin, then started a fun game of corners. Which meant that she kept getting squished in between both Taylor and Zac. Which she did NOT mind AT all.

Shannon watched from her front seat, as Shana got squished between Taylor and Zac. She had a look of pure bliss on her face when Zac slammed her into Taylor. Shannon had to laugh at it. It was just too funny not to laugh at.

Isaac looked over at her, raising an eyebrow in question.

She laughed even more as she raised her eyebrow in return. Then she nodded towards the backseat.

Glancing in the rear view mirror, Isaac watched as the game or corners persisted. He too started laughing, as he looked over at Shannon.

She grinned at him and mouthed, ‘She likes Taylor.’

Isaac laughed, and looked back at her in the backseat. He started laughing harder. ‘He likes her too.’ He mouthed back.

At this, Shannon started to crack up. Tears started to stream down her cheeks, and her sides started to burn from the pain. Isaac had started laughing at her at this point, and ended up having to pull over before he got into an accident.

Shana, Zac, and Taylor stopped their game, and watched the two laughing people curiously.

“What’s wrong?” Shana asked Shannon concernedly.

Shannon only laughed harder. If it was possible for her to.

“Yo, Ike.” Taylor said as he looked over at Isaac. Since they obviously weren’t going to get any answers from Shannon. “You okay, man?” He asked. “Anything wrong?”

Isaac too, started to crack up even more.

After a few moments though, they started to calm down a little bit. But they were still laughing, their faces were still red, and the tears were still streaming down their cheeks.

And when they looked over at each other, it all started back up again.

“You guys are so strange.” Zac stated as he leaned back in his seat.

Shana and Taylor followed his lead. “They are very strange.” Taylor said shaking his head sadly.

Shana gave Shannon a good long and hard stare. “Yeah, huh.” She agreed with Taylor as she nodded her head slowly.

Taylor was staring at Isaac the same way. Concerned about his mental health.

“So what was sooooo funny?” Zac asked. He was curious, and he wanted to know.

Shannon and Isaac looked over at each other, and they laughing started up once again.

“Okay, nevermind.” Zac said rolling his eyes and looking back out his window sullenly. “I really didn’t want to know it anyways.”

Again, Isaac and Shannon started to calm down a little. “Sorry guys.” Isaac apologized, a smile in his voice.

“It’s an inside joke.” Shannon replied, choking on her giggles.

“Yeah, but only a small one.” Isaac said as he looked back at Shana and Taylor. Then he started to chuckle to himself.

“They’re scary.” Shana commented as Shannon’s giggles turned into laughter.

“Are we gonna end up like them when we get older?” Zac asked a little worriedly as he watched as Shannon and Isaac broke into hysterical fits of laughter. Again.

“God, I hope not.” Shana said as she eyed the two laughing teens in the front seat.

“Me too.” Taylor added.

But Isaac and Shannon continued to laugh, and make fun of Taylor and Shana liking each other and not even realizing it.

“I think that they are in need of some serious professional help.” Taylor said as he started to get extremely bored at them for laughing for no apparent reason.

Zac glared at him. “Oh, gee. Really?” He asked sarcastically. “Ya think?”

Shana laughed at his sarcasm. Sarcasm really did make the person… and the family.

“We’re sorry guys.” Isaac said as he started to pull up in front of the hotel.

Shannon nodded her head in agreement as she continued on with her giggles. “It was just something really funny that we realized.” She said, trying to explain.

Isaac laughed once again, and Shannon tried to keep hers under control this time.

“Whatever.” Shana said as she got out and started to pull Shannon towards the hotel behind her. “Pick us up in an hour for a meal?” She questioned them before she walk inside.

Isaac was still laughing, but managed to nod his head. When Taylor sat in the passenger’s seat, he started laughing even harder. And so was Shannon.

“Bye!” She called out through her laughter.

Isaac waved and drove off. You could hear his laughter from the parking entrance, and Shannon laughed even harder at that fact. Shana had to hold her up, before she collapsed from her giggles.

“Well okay, what happened between you and Ike?” You seemed to have turned into hyena’s in the car!” Shana said as they started towards their room.

Shannon had just calmed down in the elevator, but once Shana reminded her of what happened, her laughter started up again.

Shana just rolled her eyes. “Just forget about it. I’m never gonna know.” She said waving her hand at Shannon, as if dismissing her and the question.

Shannon doubled over on her bed, and continued her laughing as Shana changed and showered.

When Shana came back out, she saw Shannon was curled up on her bed, in pain.

“Serves you right.” She said indignantly. “You should have told me.”

Shannon would have started laughing again, if it didn’t hurt so damn much. It even hurt to smile, but the thought of Shana and Taylor made her crack one anyway.
