# 2

"Let's let go, baby, let's let go." Shannon sang for the millionth time that day. It was now the day after their run in with Hanson at the park, and she finally made the pitch perfect. She just couldn't seem to get it out right.

Shana was there, giving her support, but Shannon didn't want it. She kept thinking about the 'what ifs.'

"Iz!" Casey shouted at her.

Shannon broke from her trance. "Yeah?" She sheepishly asked. She didn't like being caught in a daydream when she wasn't doing her job right. Or when she was doing her job period.

"That's it for today." She said motioning for her to take the headphones off.

Shannon did as she was told. "We're only doing a half days work?" She asked curiously.

Casey nodded her head. "It's obvious that you have things to think about or over." She stated as she started gathering up her papers and putting them in her briefcase.

"No, I don't. I promise I'll get my part of the song out and done in the next hour." She said as she crossed her heart in promise.

Casey just looked at her warily. "Are you sure?" She questioned. "Skyye has to come in on a few of your parts and then it's her turn and then you have to come in on a few of her parts."

Shannon nodded her head quickly. "We will do it." She said confidently as she smiled at their manager.

Shana looked at her in shock. They had a little less than two hours and Shannon just promised to finish the rest of the song. And they had over half of the song left to do. They had never done that before. Normally they took five hours just to do a few verses. Not over half a song in less than two.

Shannon snapped her fingers to get the beat and started to belt out a tune. "Let's let go, sometimes we need to free. Let's let go, baby, you know it's not going to be."

Soon they started recording again and Shannon sang her heart out. If she was told to do a re-take she did two. And Shana did the same when it came to her turn.

And they did finish their song in just a little over their two hours. Much to Casey's amazement. Shannon and Shana just smiled at each other and nodded. They knew they could do it. They just had to work like they had before they got signed.

"So when is the single going to be released?" Shana asked as she and Shannon started gathering up their stuff and loading it into their backpacks.

"Well, we are so close to finishing up the album, so the single should be out in just a few days. Then about two weeks later the album will come out. But after we get this copy sent in and then out it'll be ready for airplay."

~ Shana's and Shannon's Hotel Room ~

Shannon was staring out their sliding glass door, down at the large city below them. Hollywood was more beautiful than what any pictures or any descriptions could possible describe. She had to admit that at least, but as angry and as hurt as she was, she did miss her home.

"Thinking about home again?" Shana asked softly as she walked out of the bathroom.

Shannon simply nodded her head. "I try not to. I know that if we didn't runaway, then we wouldn't be doing this now. We wouldn't have gotten this chance so early. But I sometimes just can't help but miss them." She said shrugging as she watched the cars move along the streets.

Shana stared at her best friend. At her sister. Her soul mate. It was true. They did run away. They ranaway seven months ago, a month after they had met Hanson on their tour bus. They were touring around a bit with their families, and then they were discovered and offered a record deal. But their families had instantly rejected the idea and stuck by their answer firmly. And then immediately after that Shannon and Shana decided that they wanted their music more than they had wanted their families. So a month after the decision was made, they ranaway.

Altering their appearances drastically had hid their true identities. Shannon's once golden blonde hair was now jet black, and she wore aqua contacts that hid her blue-green eyes; but she usually kept them hidden behind a dark pair of sunglasses.

Shana's once dark brown hair was now a dark golden blonde hair with light streaks of bleached blonde. Her brown eyes, now blue with the help of contacts, and she used them to mainly flirt with the guys she found cute.

Both of them had decided that Shannon needed to get a fake I.D. stating that she was eighteen, when in actual reality she was just a little over sixteen. She also had to get papers saying that she was Shana's older sister and legal guardian since she was only a little over fourteen.

They both had to change their names with their appearances, Shannon Morrow became Isobel Sheyde; and Shana Reed had become Skyye Sheyde. Sisters abandoned by their family.

After a few moments Shana clapped her hand on Shannon's shoulder. "You gotta let it go. Or it will eat you alive, Shann." She said gently. Then she smiled as she thought of a way to cheer her sister up. "Come on. I'll buy you a tattoo."

Shannon grinned. "How much?" She asked skeptically.

"Hmm, about fifty dollars." Shana laughed as she grabbed her purse.

Grabbing her wallet and the key to their hotel room Shannon replied, "I'll pitch in some of my own money so that I can get a good one." She stated as she walked out of their room.

Shana followed her. Shaking her head and laughing.

~ The Park After The Tattoo Parlor ~

"Does it hurt?" Shana asked as she stared at the huge wizard now printed on Shannon's back. It had a crystal ball in its left hand, and was pointing with his index ginger on his right hand.

Shannon shrugged slightly. "Just a little." She replied as she tried to get a small glimpse of her back.

Shana looked at it some more. Her skin was red from the needle and the cover over it looked beyond uncomfortable. She shivered, remembering when she got her own tattoos. She remembered how much it hurt, and how much she screamed at the guy who was giving it to her. Not to mention the immense pressure she put on Shannon's hand when she held it.

Shannon hadn't screamed though. She had just lain there as if nothing was happening.

Shana was startled out of her thoughts when Shannon yawned.

"I'm tired." She murmured as she covered her yawn with her right hand.

Shana nodded her head in agreement. "Me too. Wanna go home?" She asked referring to the five star hotel.

Without saying anything they both started down a path in the direction of their hotel. They walked for a few minutes when someone started to call to them. Shannon looked around and saw Taylor Hanson running over to them.

Instantly Shannon covered her face. "Before you even think about hitting me with a soccer ball again." She said laughing lightly.

Taylor laughed and blushed slightly at the reminder of what happened the other day here. "I'm really sorry about that." He apologized as he wrinkled his nose.

Shannon shrugged her shoulders. "Forget about it." She said shaking her head and waving her hand. She looked over at Shana. "I think maybe we should introduce ourselves formerly now. I'm Isobel and this is my younger sis, Skyye." She said as she pointed to Shana.

Taylor smiled and extended his hand to them. "Taylor."

Shana giggled and nodded. "Hanson." She said smiling happily as she shook his hand. "Yeah, we know."

Taylor's smile widened. "I'd ask you to meet my brothers, but since you already know us…" He trailed off.

Shannon laughed when she saw Shana's smile falter slightly.

"Nah, I'm just kidding." Taylor said laughing. "Just joking. They're the ones that made me come over here." He said. Two people in hats and sunglasses occupied the park bench that he was pointing at.

Shannon looked back between Shana and Taylor and shook her head slightly and started her way over to the park bench occupied by the two. They stood up when she got about five feet away from them.

She held her hand out to them. "If you promise not to hit me with anymore soccer balls I'll promise that I'll be nice and happy." She bargained.

Isaac was the first to shake her hand. "Okay, I promise." He said laughing.

Zac just stared at her for a moment. "Do I really have to promise?" He asked sadly.

Shannon laughed lightly. "It'd make me feel better… and safer." She added.

Again Zac just sort of gave her a thoughtful look. "Do I have to mean it?" He asked smiling.

Again Shannon laughed at him. "Please do?" She asked.

Finally after a few more minutes Zac shrugged his shoulders. "Okay, I guess I'll promise too." He said as he shook her hand.

Minutes went by, Shana wand Taylor were standing against a tree talking about music behind the bench that Shannon, Isaac, and Zac were sitting on talking about traveling.

Shana suggested that they do something and Taylor agreed then placed his hand on Shannon's back to get her attention.

Shannon instantly winced and jumped off the bench. "Okay, the numbness wore off." She stated through tightly clenched teeth.

"You okay?" Isaac asked standing up.

Taylor stared at her in shock. Wondering what he had done to cause her to have such a reaction.

"It's okay. I'm alright." Shannon said nodding her head slowly as the pain started to fade.

"She just got a tattoo, umm about twenty minutes ago, and it's still a little sore, and you just touched it." Shana explained to Taylor.

"Uh, sorry but uh… we gotta go now. It was awfully nice meeting you three. Maybe we can do it again sometime." Shannon said quickly as she started pushing Shana out of the park.

"What in the hell was that all about?" Shana asked as they started walking towards their hotel. Obviously upset about the fact that her meeting with Hanson was cut short.

Shannon said nothing until they got up to their room. "You just had to go and tell them about my tattoo didn't you?" She asked as she slammed the door shut.

"I'm just glad that they can't find us. What are the chances of us running into them for a fourth time?" She asked lying on her bed.

"Umm, you see that was what Taylor was trying to get your attention about." Shana started off. "So the chances of us seeing them again is better than average." She said as she went to lie on her bed too.

"What?" Shannon asked calmly.

"Umm, well you see, we have this thing that we’re going to be doing with them later on today." Shana said grinning sheepishly.

"WHAT?!" Shannon screamed.
