# 6

Shannon and Shana were back at the studio the next morning. Singing away at another song and trying to get the right pitches and sing the right words.

Casey sighed after three hours of work was finished. "You two are doing great." She said smiling. "You're almost done."

Shana smiled a little. She didn't want to stop recording yet. Not for a long time. "Are you sure we don't need to re-do a few songs?" She asked hopefully.

Casey's smile widened. "I know you're a bit nervous about it, but it'll be okay. You two are going to do great."

Shana's head spun with questions and comments that she just wanted to blurt out right then. Yet she kept her mouth shut. They finished their last hour just fooling around with a few lines. Changing and re-arranging them until they felt it was perfect.

"Shann, what's gonna happen when they find out we aren't who we say we are?" Shana asked Shannon as they walked out of the studio and onto the sidewalk.

Shannon shrugged her tensed shoulders. "Maybe no one will know we aren't who we say we are." She said softly. "We look nothing like we did seven months ago, Shana. Even Hanson didn't recognize us when we met again. And we spent that time in the bus that one day."

Shana looked at the sidewalk as she walked. "I know, but…" She started slowly. She looked up quickly. "What if we make some more changes?"

"Like what?" Shannon asked curiously. She didn't like that look that Shana had in her eyes. Every time she got that weird look like she was thinking hard, something bad happened and Shannon was the one who always got into trouble.

"Just a few piercings and we need to fix that scar on your cheek." Shana said smiling.

Shannon's eyes widened. "No way!" She shouted. "How in the hell am I supposed to fix my scar?!"

Shana turned into a grin and the dimple in her left cheek showed. "Just make it a little bit bigger. That's all." She said as if it didn't matter. "Any more questions?" She asked.

Shannon nodded her head vigorously. "Yeah. Have you always been this mental? Or is it a recent development?"

Shana laughed as she pulled Shannon to the nearest mall. There was girls streaming all over the place.

"What in the hell." Shannon said as some girl pushed passed her. "I hope you make it to the food court in time!" She shouted after the girl that hit her.

Shana smiled. "Who cares what's going on? We need to get to the body piercing place." She said as she grabbed Shannon's arm and started pulling her through the crowd.

They got their ears done again. Shannon now had three small silver hoops in each ear and pair of dice in the top hole. Shana getting three more studs and her cartilage pierced in her left ear, left her with five earrings in her right ear and six in her left.

Walking out the door someone bumped into Shana and she instantly grabbed her sore ears and screamed in pain. "Aww you b…"

"Skyye!!" Shannon shouted before she was able to finish the word.

Shooting an angry death glare at the girl who bumped into her, she walked off following Shannon.

"How do you plan on fixing my scar?" Shannon asked nervously as they made their way through the crowd. She needed to know what Shana's mind thought was simple and easy.

"Just make it a little bigger with a knife or something I guess." Shana said as she nursed her ear.

Shannon stopped suddenly. "You're not getting that close to me with a sharp object. You're not even allowed to walk with scissors! What makes you think I'm gonna let you touch my face with an even sharper object?!"

They were walking again and Shannon was looking at Shana waiting for an answer. Or another suggestion. If that was possible for her.

Then Shana smiled and started laughing. "Lookit!" She said pointing in front of them.

Shannon scanned the crowds and didn't see what Shana was pointing at, at first. Then she saw it. Hanson was having another autograph session.

She tossed her head back and started laughing also. She smiled at Shana slyly. "In the mood for havin' some fun?" She asked her eyes glinting with mischief.

Shana was amused by this and nodded her head. "What we gonna do?" She asked matching Shannon's sly smile with her own.

Shannon pulled her close and told her the plan that she just came up with.

Shana started laughing instantly and nodded her head quickly. "Let's do it!" She said happily.

They started moving into the positions that they needed for Shannon's plan into action. "Ready?" Shannon mouthed to Shana.

Shana smiled. "Ready." She mouthed back.

~ Hanson's View ~

Taylor was signing c.d. cover after c.d. cover and he never tired of it. His brothers and him never got tired of it. He smiled at the girl who was smiling flirtatiously at him.

He took the c.d. cover after Isaac signed it and passed it on to Zac who was answering a few questions that a young girl was shooting at him a mile a minute.

He started to get a bit bored. Sitting in the chair for so long had its downsides. Then he heard it. Girls were shouting and laughing and the crowd was splitting right down the middle. He was curious as to what was happening.

Shana and Shannon were running and laughing. "TAG!!" Shannon shouted as she pushed Shana hard into the crowd. "You're it." She said more calmly as she started to run in the other direction. She disappeared into the crowd and Shana started looking for her.

Taylor started laughing at them. He got up and saw Shannon hiding behind a tall man. He smiled and leaned over to Isaac and whispered something into his ear. Isaac laughed and nodded. He stood up and went in Shannike's direction. Taylor leaned over and whispered the same to Zac. Zac started laughing evilly. He jumped up and started running. Taylor made sure Isaac was near Shannon, and then he called to Shana. "She's over there!" He screamed pointing to Isaac.

Shana looked at Taylor and smiled. She started running in Isaac's direction.

Shannon looked in horror at Taylor. She was about to take off when Isaac grabbed her wrist. She stared at him. "Let me go!" She begged laughing. "C'mon, let me go!" She whined. "Let me go, let me go, let me go."

Shana was a few feet away from her and Shannon wrenched her wrist free and pushed Isaac in front of Shana and started running again. Then Zac stepped in her way.

Shannon slammed on her feet brakes and almost toppled over from the sudden stop.

Shana slapped her hand across Shannon's back. "NO!" She shouted. "YOU'RE IT!!" She screamed before she raced off.

By this time the crowd had shrunk by almost ¾. It was funny.

Shannon tried to catch Shana but Isaac stood in her way. Shannon smiled at him and pushed him into Taylor. "TAG!" She shouted before she started running off.

Isaac started laughing and all five of them were racing through out the mall playing tag. They played for about twenty minutes before they got kicked out for misbehaving by a security guard. Well, actually five security guards.

They all laughed as they exited the mall. "Well, that was fun." Shannon said as they started walking through.

"So Iz, Skyye, why were you at the mall today?" Isaac asked.

Shana smiled. "Body piercings." She said smiling and showing off her ears.

"Why do you need so many?" Zac asked scrunching up his face.

Shannon smiled a little. "We wanted to. But I bet we'll lose them soon enough." She said as she drew her lips into a tight thin line.

Isaac stared at her for a moment. He sensed something was wrong but he wasn't going to ask about it. Instead he offered them a late lunch. Shana and Shannon eagerly accepted and they offered to buy dessert.
