Amy awoke the next morning to Avery getting out of bed.

“Get up, Amy. Santa came.”

“Really?”

“Yeah. Jessie is up. We need to get Ike and Tay up. Jessie got Zac. Well no, Zac got her up.”

Amy and Avery went into the boys room Amy climbed the steps to Ike’s bunk.

“Isaac. Wake up Santa came.” Isaac opened an eye and looked at her. "Please, get up.”

“Okay, I guess I will for you.” He sat up.

His usually perfect ponytail was a mess from sleep. Amy giggled. Isaac shook his head and tickled Amy. This woke Taylor up.

“Guys, stop. Some of us want to sleep.”

“Tay-Tay. That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you. You have to get up. Santa came.” Avery said excitedly.

“Okay, okay. I suppose Zac is already up?”

“Yup. C’mon.” Avery took Taylor’s hand and pulled him up.

Isaac got out of bed and picked Amy up. He took her downstairs.

Amy was amazed by the tree. It had a lot of presents underneath, One of those is mine. She thought as she sat next to Mackie.

Avie and Jessie joined her. Walker stood next to the tree.

“You guys ready to open presents?”

“Yeah.” They all shouted.

He picked up the first present it was for Amy.

She opened it. It was a new stuffed toy. She loved it. They all exchanged gifts.

Amy adored everything she got. Each girl got a new dress they were all going to attend Christmas evening mass. All of the kids disappeared and went and played. That evening they all had a large dinner. And then they went to church.

“Diana, Walker! Long time no see.” Said a woman.

“Nice to see you again.” Walker said warmly

“My your kids keep getting bigger and bigger every time I see them. Oh and who is this little one?”

“This is Amy. We are adopting her. She should be legally ours in a month.”

“Well hello, Amy.”

“Hi.” Amy said shyly. She'd never been to church before so this was a totally new experience for her.

The minister talked for a while Amy listened intently as he talked about loving families. She smiled she held Isaac’s hand. He looked down at her and smiled back and squeezed her hand.

In January the final adoption papers arrived Diana smiled as she signed her name to the papers.

“Walker.” She smiled and handed him the pen. He signed.

“Amy!” Walker called from the living room.

Amy came down her hair a tangled mess. Avery had been playing with her hair. “Yeah Walker.” She asked smiling.

“Well, we have the adoption papers all signed.”

She jumped and hugged Walker. “Thank you. So I’m an official Hanson?”

“Yes, you are now Amy Hanson.”

“Thank you, thank you, thank you.” She hugged and kissed Walker and Diana.

“Now all we need to do is get your birthdate.”

Amy’s smile fell. "I don’t have a birthday. My blood parents said that I didn’t get one.”

“Well, we’ll just have to remedy that. Pick a day, Amy.”

She looked at them and thought for a second. “January eighteenth.”

“Okay.” Diana filled that in, in the papers.

Walker hugged her. “Well Diana, we have yet another little girl.”

“Yes we do, Walker.”

Amy just smiled.
