~ Seven Years Later ~

"Daddy, daddy, daddy!" Charm cried out happily as she ran into her father's den.
Isaac looked up. A frown tugged at his lips before he smiled brightly down at her. "Yes, Charm?" He asked, his voice under a usual strain that occurred when he said her name. Swiftly he swept her up and onto his knee and giving her a big hug and kiss.
"Angel's friend Amanda has to write an essay in her school." She said smiling.
"Well, she goes to a different school then you and your sister do." Isaac commented after a seconds thought.
Charm bobbed her head, "Yeah I know. But she has to write one on her mommy."
She was silent for a moment. "Where's my mommy, Daddy?" She asked with her big brown eyes.
Isaac's heart twisted painfully in his chest. "Charm, I've told you what happened to your mommy before." He reminded her gently. "Mommy, was loved by God so much, that he wanted her in Heaven with him."
"I know." She said quietly. "Did, D love me, Daddy?"
"Yes, she did baby." Isaac said thickly. "She loved you very much." He said as tears threatened to spill down his cheeks.
"Why don't you go show Uncle Taylor what you learned on the piano yesterday?" He asked in a choked voice.
Nodding her head vigorously Isaac helped her down off her lap. When he was sure she was gone he opened up his desk drawer. He smiled slightly when he saw himself and Dahven smiling up at him. His heart twisted again, but relaxed when he saw the CD’s lining his wall.
Singles titled, 'In Love With A Ghost' 'All For An Angel' 'The Charm Of Life". All of them off one CD, 'Long Lasting Love.'
Tears blurred his vision and he replaced the photo back in its rightful place.
"Ike." Zac's voice called softly from the doorway.
Spinning around his chair Isaac looked over at his younger brother. The year’s changing his appearance ever so slightly.
Zac smiled knowingly at him. "I have news for you." He said as he walked in.
"Hmm, what?" He asked as he stood up to stretch.
"Charm, Angel, and Zoë have actually started a band." He replied grinning.
Isaac smiled over at him. "When did this come up?" He questioned as they started to walk out of his den.
Zac shrugged, "They said they'd been thinking about it ever since our last album."
"Well, lets go encourage them." He stated as they walked out and into the garage.
Zoë was taking her place behind Zac's drum set, Charm stood confidently behind Taylor's keyboards, and Angel stood happily holding Isaac's guitar.
"We call this 'I know You But We’ve Never Met.' " Angel said quietly as Zoë started to tap out a light beat out on the cymbals.
Charm and Angel, with Zoë coming in every once in a while beautifully sang the words. Their playing melting together smoothly.
But Isaac listened carefully to the words.

Blonde hair, grey eyes, so fragile yet so strong
Holding up, and lasting long
I know you but we've never met
You're someone that no one can forget
Your memories keeping some of us going
Never asking, never knowing
And I know you but we’ve never met
You're someone that I won't forget

He stopped listening there. He had heard enough to know it was about D. His wife, Angel's sister, Zoë's sister in law, and Charm's mother.
Yet Isaac continued to watch as Charm sang with such emotion for the girl she never met. A feeling welled up inside him. He loved this girl, his daughter, so much. He had spent his teen years changing her and Angel both, and feeding them. Bringing them up as he too was still being brought up.
Spending most of his time performing and practicing while taking care of her.
"What do you think, Daddy?" Charm asked in a soft voice when he didn't say anything, casting nervous glances over at Angel and Zoë.
Isaac wasn't aware that they had stopped. "I think you're going to have to work really hard." He told them softly.
"Because you guys are great." He stated proudly.
Charm and Angel grinned and then ran to jump into his arms and plant a kiss on his cheek. "I love you, Daddy." They cried in unison.
Isaac swallowed the lump in his throat. "I love you too, girls." He whispered back. Hugging them more tightly to him, before motioning for Zoë to join in the hug.
Zac and Taylor stood by, smiling softly at the scene displaying before them. Sometimes Isaac wouldn't be able to listen to anything that reminded him of his late wife D. His love for her was still so strong, and so was the pain of losing her.
Taylor smiled secretly to himself. Maybe this is just what he needs. He thought excitedly.
