'Angel Charm'

"Mackie is not moving in with you." Mrs. Hanson said firmly.
Zac looked up at her from his plate, his lips in a tight line. "Mackenzie." He corrected. "He's not a baby anymore, Mom."
The look she gave him was enough to make him look back down at his food. "He is my son, and only a teenager."
"We were teenagers when we started in this business." He added.
Sighing, she stood up and threw her napkin down on the table. "He just turned fourteen, Zac. And you and your brothers were not moving out of the house. If you remember, we all lived under the same roof."
Zac looked around the empty dining room. The rest of their family had long since abandoned them to discuss Mackenzie's move in with them. He sighed himself, but refused to look up. "You and dad were talking about honeymooning again."
She eyed him cautiously. Wondering what new trick he had left to pull. "Yes." She agreed slowly. "We have."
He nodded, but still kept his eyes down in front of him. "Leave Zoë and Mackenzie here with us. Jessie and Avery are at their Junior colleges… you and dad will be free to go off and have your alone time together without any worries."
Mrs. Hanson straightened noticeably. "I'll talk about it with your father."
Simply, he nodded his head again, and remained there while she left.

Charm stared at her father. "What do you mean we won't be doing everything right off the bat?" She questioned curiously.
Isaac opened his opened his mouth, only to be interrupted by his other daughter.
"He means, we're not going straight into the recording studio." Angel commented while she stole a place on Taylor's lap.
Giving her a look of disapproval, Angel's cheeks flushed and she hung her head.
But Taylor smiled down at her and wrapped her in his arms tightly.
Zoë stood up from her stance against the wall. "He wants to make sure we get a good reaction from the crowd first, right?"
Mr. Hanson applauded from his seat next to Isaac. "Very good, Zoë." He complimented. "You know exactly how this business works.
She shrugged sluggishly. "I just picked up and remembered a few things." She replied.
Randy placed her arm around Taylor's shoulders, and mussed up Angel's hair. "Mackenzie and I still wanna make a few recordings." She stated calmly. "Just to test them out in the studio."
Stirring in his own stance next to Zoë, Mackenzie smiled a small smile down at his baby sister before swinging her into his arms. "Just to see if you can hack the pressure, kiddo." He teased.
Crossing her arms firmly in front of her when he let her down, Zoë glared up at him in defiance. Her chin tilted cockily, "You don't think that I can handle the pressure?" She asked defensively.
He nodded, grinning at her now.
She smiled back at him sweetly, "It is you, Mackenzie," She stressed. "That may not be able handle the pressure as a producer."
Mackenzie laughed at that. He made a small noise, "Ouch, that hurt." He said smiling.
Isaac shook his head. "She's just like you and Zac, and I don't know how it happened." He said feigning sadness, while Charm and Angel giggled madly and Zoë glowered at him.
But Taylor nodded his head in agreement. "Some things you just never known." He stated wryly, but smiled nonetheless.
"Well, we never did know why you always looked like a girl, Tay." Zac said laughing as he walked into the parlor.
The room filled with laughter while Taylor's cheeks tinted with pink as he laughed along with his family.
Mrs. Hanson walked in as well, and took a seat next to her husband.
Curiously and eagerly Mackenzie looked at Zac. Hoping for the answer that he wanted.
But slowly Zac shook his head no, but he held up his hand as his face fell and his shoulder tensed.
Walking over to him he whispered, "I've got one plan left that just might work." He confessed smiling mischievously.
Mackenzie laughed in relief and relaxed slightly.
