'Angel Charm'

"Okay, Zac." Mrs. Hanson said tiredly. "You got what you wanted."
Zac looked up at her in confusion. He was simply helping Mackenzie fix his soundboard in the garage when his mother laid that line on him. "Uh, hey, Mom." He said slowly. "Um, exactly what do you mean? Cause you know, I like want a lot of things."
She looked at his sly smile and laughed to herself, "Your father and I are going on that vacation." She announced.
"Vacation?" Mackenzie asked, now more interested in the conversation.
"Honeymoon number four." Zac said grinning.
He groaned and put his face in his hands, "We’re gonna get another sibling out of this, aren't we?" He asked while Zac started laughing loudly.
Mrs. Hanson patted her greying hair, and smiled at her two sons. "No, I don't think we're going to have anymore kids. I think seven is plenty enough."
Zac smirked, "I thought three was enough." He commented.
"Watch it, boy." Mr. Hanson said appearing in the doorway next to his wife, he looked in and smiled at them.
"Yeah," Mackenzie said smacking Zac upside the head. "If it wasn't for me, who else would you have gotten to blame all that stuff on?"
"What stuff?" Their mom asked expectantly, her hands already resting in her hips, and her foot tapping.
Zac glared at his younger brother. "You and your big mouth, little bro!" He said lightly punching him in the arm.
Mackenzie smiled, "You said that then too."
"And I meant it then as I mean it now!"
"What stuff, Zachary?" Mrs. Hanson asked impatiently.
Zac looked up sheepishly at his mother. "Eh," He laughed nervously. "Remember when you came home that one day and Mackenzie was in the kitchen…?"
When he stopped talking, his father spoke up. "Finish what you were saying, Zac."
He nodded slowly. "Well, when Mackenzie was all covered in the cookie batter mom had left in the refrigerator, that she was going to back for Grandma."
Mrs. Hanson's mouth dropped open, and Zac rushed to finish. "Well, I was the one who was dipping into it, Mackenzie saw me, started doing it too, and well… he just took the whole thing!"
Mackenzie shook his head furiously, "Uh uh!" He said loudly, "Zac said it was alright first!"
"Is that right, Zac?" She asked sternly.
He squirmed, "God, I'm over twenty and I feel like I'm about to be sent to my room!" He confessed laughing lightly, trying to get off the subject.
"It's still here." His father warned.
Zac grinned, "Yeah, but you guys love me."
   "Don't push it, bud."

Taylor answered the door, and smiled. "You kidnapped our kid brother?" He asked playfully. "Is there nothing you won't do, Zac?" He said as he stepped aside, and watched as Zac and Mackenzie carried his things inside.
Zac laughed, "I almost was about to drop him off at old lady Barry's because he decided it'd be fun to tell mom and dad about how us older brothers blamed things on him."
His face fell, "What all did you tell, Mack?"
Mackenzie grinned, "Nothing about you. Just Zac." He said cheerfully.
Taylor breathed a sigh of relief, "Whoa, okay. That's good." He stated calming down.
"Good? How can that possibly be good?" Zac questioned incredulously.
But Taylor simply smiled sweetly at him. "Because it's good it was you and not me." He answered shrugging.
Mackenzie snickered before holding up his stuff. "Which room?" He said smiling broadly.
"The one next to Zac's." Isaac said grinning as he walked out of the opened study room doors.
Zac smiled evilly at his younger brother. "You just wait bro." He warned. "You're going to wake up one morning… with no eyebrows!"
Again Mackenzie snickered. "Zac," He said slowly. "I've seen you shave," He started to laugh. "You're more than likely gonna cut my head off then remove my eyebrows!"
Isaac and Taylor laughed while they both helped Zac and Mackenzie with his stuff and headed up the stairs.
"Where are the girls?" Mackenzie asked halfway up the staircase.
Isaac tossed his head towards the study room. "Doing their schoolwork." He replied, then he smiled at him. "Which reminds me, dear brother of mine." He said sweetly. "Where is your work?"
Mackenzie snapped his fingers. "Darnit, I knew you were going to remember that."
Isaac laughed, "Hey, mom gave me a pretty big list. Work was at the top."
He rolled his eyes, "I knew it." He said smiling. "It always is."
Zac, Taylor, and Isaac grinned, remembering exactly how much their mother encouraged them to do their schoolwork. Always warning that they needed a good education. The funny thing though, was the fact that she was actually right.
