'Angel Charm'

"Daddy?" Charm's soft voice, cautiously asked.
"Yes, baby?" Isaac asked leaning back from his desk.
In an instant, Charm was climbing up on his lap and lying against him. Immediately his arms went around her, as if to keep her safe from anything, everything.
"This music thing is really hard, can't we do it just for fun?"
Isaac smiled to himself; "You don't know how happy you've just made Uncle Tay." He said chuckling lightly.
Turning at the waist, Charm looked up at him with big grey eyes. "Why?" She asked curiously.
He leaned his forehead against hers. "Because he was scared that you might not be old enough to handle it yet."
Her eyes grew bigger; "I am too old enough." She stated defensively, but not sure exactly what she was defending.
Isaac grinned, "No, it's just, we think you should wait a little bit longer before you get real serious about this music thing."
"Do you mind that we wait?" She asked slowly, worried that he might be upset.
His head shook, "Nope, I don't mind one bit." He assured her. "I want you to do what you like. If music is what you like, then do it. If it's not, don't."
Her head slowly seemed to nod in understanding, "So maybe when we're older we'll like it more."
Isaac tilted his head slightly, "Something like that." He agreed, nodding as well.
A smile crossed her face and made it light up brightly. "Okay!" She said eagerly before climbing off his lap. Quickly she kissed him and ran for the door, "He said okay!" She screamed loudly as she left.
Chuckling again, Isaac leaned forward and busied himself with the large medical books displayed before him. After a few moments the strain from reading the small print made him rub his eyes tiredly.
"You know, you only make us worry more when you keep yourself in one room for so long." Zac announced as he stepped into the large den.
Once again, Isaac leaned back in his chair, and looked at his brother. "I don't know why you worry in the first place. I have my health, so do the girls, Taylor has his, and you have yours."
Zac's eyes didn't waver from his as he took a seat across from him on the other side of the desk. "It's not our physical health we worry about."
Isaac sighed, "If you say mental health, Zac, I swear I'll… do something bad." He threatened weakly.
His smile was gentle, "I know you will." He replied softly. "Anyways," Zac said changing the subject. "I'm going on a small vacation." A broad grin stole across his lips.
"Where to?" Isaac asked, not being able to stop smiling back at him.
Zac's grin only grew bigger, if that was possible. "Up to visit, Linz." He said shrugging nonchalantly.
Isaac nodded in comprehension. "Ah, didn't you just see her a few weeks ago?" He questioned smiling.
"Yeah, but it was only for a day. I hope to spend two or three this time." He replied.
"Anything important going on between you two?" Isaac asked curiously.
Zac laughed, "You're as bad as mom."
Isaac laughed too, "Well, I did spend a lot of time with her growing up."
He nodded slowly, "Yeah." Silence stole upon them before Zac lifted his gaze off of the desktop. "Okay," He said sighing, his hand dug into his pocket and removed an envelope. Without thinking twice he threw it to his older brother and crossed his arms.
Reluctantly Isaac stared at him for a moment before opening the yellow paper and coaxing out a tiny diamond set in the center of gold heart ring. He smiled happily, "Taking the plunge, dear bro of mine?"
"You know damn well I am." He grumbled.
Isaac laughed, "I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together then."
"Ha!" Zac scoffed. "Only if she says yes."
He rolled his eyes, "This is Linz, she's been pining for you since you first met. Believe me," He said wryly, "She will say yes."
Zac stood and accepted the envelope back from his brother. "I just have to find a way to ask her."
"Just wait 'til the time is right." Isaac suggested as he stood up too.
A wary sigh escaped him, "I just have to find that time."
"Don't worry," Isaac said giving him a hug. "It'll find you."
"Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of." He muttered before going.
Laughing quietly, Isaac looked back at his desktop, then started shutting all the books. He was whistling as he left the room as well.
