Zac got home and inside everyone was loud. He wondered what all the commotion was. “Jess, what’s goin' on?”

“Ike cut off all of his hair.”

“What?” Zac asked, eyes wide.

“He cut it to his ears.”

“What the heck? Where is he?”

“He’s in the room with Tay.”

“Does he look stupid?”

“No, actually he doesn’t.” Jess said walking off.

Zac went into his bedroom that he was sharing with his brothers.

Taylor was talking to Ike loudly. “Ike, why did you do it, man? You didn’t even tell us.”

“What aggravates you, Taylor, is that you had no clue what I was going to do.” Ike said with a grin.

“Well…” Tay stuttered.

“Admit it, Taylor, you could care less if Isaac shaved his head as long as you knew about it.” Zac said shutting the door.”

“Hey, Zac.” Ike said from the bed that he was laying on.

“Hey, Ike. Oh, the girl is going to call you tomorrow.”

Taylor looked at Zac questioningly.

“Cool.” He sat up and Zac got a clear view of his hair.

“Looks good.”

“Thanks. Zac, give me some details on her. What is she like?”

Taylor looked at Isaac confusedly as he talked.

“She’s going to call you tomorrow, you’ll find out then.”

“What girl?!” Taylor practically screamed.

“The girl that Ike is going to take to the prom.”

“What girl?”

“A girl that Zac set me up with.”

“And where did Zac find this girl?”

“I’ve been spending time with her every Friday night, Tay.” Zac said pulling his shirt over his head.

“Where have I been?”

“I told you about her. She’s that one girl that I told you about a couple of months ago.” He said as he pulled on a tee shirt.

“You people don’t tell me anything. First the wall paper…the dinner that I was supposed to go to… Ike’s hair…” his complaints grew fainter as he moved away from the room down the stairs.

Ike looked at Zac and they both burst out in laughter.

“Good grief he is slow, Ike.”

“I hear ya.”

“Do you like your hair?” Zac asked brushing his out.

“Kinda, I don’t know yet. My head feels lighter.” He said running his hands through his now short hair.

“I bet it does.”

“So, I’m going out with Asia right?”

“Right.”

“God, I hope she likes me.”

“She will. Trust me.”

“Unfortunately, I’m gonna have to.” Ike smiled.

Zac threw the shirt that was at his feet at Isaac.

“You really think I’m going to like her don’t you, Zac?”

“She says things that just remind me of you. It’s weird the first thing I thought when I met her was that she would be perfect for you.”

That night the boys were lying in bed.

“Ike, I’m sorry for acting like a jerk today.” Taylor said quietly.

“It’s all right, Tay.”
