Asia

The next Friday night Zac saw Asia standing there.

“Hey, Asia.”

“I can’t stay, my mom just died. I just wanted to let you know that why I wouldn’t be around much.”

“Oh God.” Zac went to her arms outstretched and hugged her.

She cried the moment Zac touched her. “I knew it was coming but I didn’t think it would happen this fast.”

Zac couldn’t think of anything to say so he just held her tighter. “Zac, what am I going to do?”

“You’re going to keep on living and tell your children about the wonderful woman you called mom.”

“I’m never going to have children. I’ll never get a husband.” She sobbed.

Zac knew that his brother was going to be her savior. “Would you like me to go to the funeral?”

“Would you?” She asked pulling away. “Thank you so much, Zac.”

“What are friends for?”

Asia sat at the funeral home trying her best not to fall apart in front of everyone. She looked at the door and saw a shock of bright blonde hair. Zac made his way over to her and sat down next to her. He said nothing he just stroked her hair and hugged her.

Isaac wasn’t too much behind him. He knelt down in front of her. She let go of Zac when she felt the presence of another person. She saw Isaac sitting in front of her.

“Oh my…you came.” She said. “How did you know?” She asked wiping the tears from her eyes.

“My little brother told me.”

“You two are brothers?”

“Yup… how are you? That’s a stupid question. Is there anything I can do for you?”

“No, not really. You just being here is doing something for me.” She said with a weak smile.

“I’m glad that I made you smile.”
