Taylor smiled when he saw his friend step into the kitchen. "Hey, Cor." He said giving her a one armed hug.

Hugging him back, Coral smiled at him and sat down in the chair he pulled out for her. "Hey, yourself, Tay." She said excitedly. "Hey, Zac. Where’s Isaac?" She asked looking around.

Taylor squinted his eyes and looked her over. "Still asleep." He answered.

Her frown was noticeable, but her eyes lit up again in happiness.

Looking over at Zac he rolled his eyes, "Okay, Cor." He sighed. "What's up? Why are you so happy?"

Zac snickered when Coral managed to pull an innocent look over her face. "Me?" She asked sweetly.

"Yeah, you." Taylor said laughing.

Coral beamed, "Ike took me out on a date last night." She teased lightly.

His eyes flew to Zac's uncomfortably. "He did, did he?" His voice squeaked.

Too caught up in her memory of last night, Coral smiled and nodded. "Yeah." She said dreamily.

"Exactly, uh, what did you do on this date?" Zac asked cautiously, praying it wasn't what he thought it was.

The giggle she released was almost a sure give-away to the blonde brothers.

Taylor closed his eyes trying to block out the thoughts and the images. But failed in doing them both.

"We went to this little Italian restaurant," She grinned. "Then took a shortcut down to the park, where we walked under the full moon. He paid a few bucks for some breadcrumbs to feed the ducks at the pond."

Her smile was wistful and Taylor hated himself, knowing he'd have to bring her down to reality shortly. Tilting his head, he eyed Zac, who was shifting uncomfortably on the kitchen counter.

"The whole evening was perfect." She sighed softly. "Then we went to the small fountain, rolled up our jeans and he held my hand while we waded in the water." A giggle escaped her lips.

"And let me guess." Taylor said dryly, sitting up in his chair. "He said things like, this night is so beautiful, I wish that it would never end, right?" He questioned arching and an eyebrow.

Coral's eyes grew wide. "How-how did you- how could you-"

"And perhaps he walked by a tree with a sacred carving in it, am I correct?" Zac asked jumping down from the counter to walk over to the table.

He took a seat next to Taylor. "And it said something close to, 'like this tree my love for you grows.' "

Her eyes slammed shut, and her breathing grew heavy. "No." She whispered softly. "You couldn't know those things."

Taylor shook his head, "Yes, we could have." He told her gently.

"But how?" She asked in an anguished voice when her eyes reopened and landed on him.

He looked nervously over at Zac, who nodded and answered, "A few months ago, we made up this whole idea for a perfect date."

"We called it the "'Date Package.' " Taylor added.

"But we never really thought to use it." Zac said quickly. "It was all for fun. Just thinking up silly ways to have a nice date."

Taylor put his hand on top of Corals for comfort. "We never thought any of us would use it, Cor. But Isaac has."

Zac's face clouded. "A lot." He mumbled.

"What number am I?" Coral asked numbly.

"Uh, I don't think you want to know that." Zac said looking away from her.

"What number?" She repeated.

"Nine." Taylor admitted.

Slowly, Coral stood on shaky legs. "You'll have to excuse me." She said in a strained voice. "I have to go."

"Cor, wait." Taylor pleaded as he and Zac stood instantly as well.

She shook her head. "No, I don't think so." She murmured. "I really have to go. Tell Isaac I was here, ok?"

The two brothers nodded their heads mutely and she gave them a weak smile. "Bye, guys." She said before letting herself out of their house.

Taylor leaned his back against the wall, "What have you done this time, Ike?" He asked softly. "Why her? Why Cor? Why not anyone else?"

"Because she was there, and only all to happy and willing to accept."

The voice of his older brother made his head snap in the direction it was coming from.

"She's a friend!" He said loudly. "Was anyways." He added softly.

Isaac simply shrugged his shoulders. "She should've known that it was for fun. That it was all fake, something innocent to pass the time with."

"You weren't here, Ike." Zac said speaking up. "You didn't see her face all excited, or how her eyes lit up relaying the details of the date to us." His eyes flashed. "The date that we all created one boring Friday night!"

His hand dismissed it. "None of us ever said that we wouldn't use it!" He defended himself.

"You didn't see her face fall when we told her how it ended. When we told her certain parts of the date that she thought no one could have known. Parts she probably thought too personal and intimate to share with us." Taylor said quietly.

"She didn't know, Ike." Zac said jumping down from the counter and taking a stand next Taylor. "She didn't know it was a whole package thing. She didn't know how many times you've used it. She didn't know how we all just made up the whole thing. She didn’t know."

Isaac shook his head and smiled at his two brothers. "You now, if I didn't know better. I could swear that you both loved her."

"She's our friend." Taylor bit out angrily.

"Yeah, sure." Isaac said as he patted his coat pockets before taking a set of keys off the key hook behind his head. "See ya later, boys." He said grinning. "I've got another date tonight, he taunted.

Once the front door slammed shut, Taylor punched the wall in anger. "How could he do this to her?" He yelled.

Zac put his hand on his shoulder to calm him down. "It's not your fault, Tay." He responded.

They both moved back to sit at the table, while Jessica poked her head into the room. "Is it safe?" She asked hesitantly.

Taylor looked up from the table. "Yeah, it is." He said tiredly. "You can come out now. Mom and dad's going to be back soon from the hospital."

"Zoë's all right, isn't she?" Avery asked climbing onto Taylor's lap, while Mackie occupied Zac's and Jessica being the big girl she is took a chair.

"Yeah, she just has a small cold." Taylor said kissing her head gently and holding her tight. He gave Zac a worried look, not worried for his sister, but for Coral.

Zac gave a weak nod back while he leaned his forehead against the back of Mackie's.

"Can we make brownies?" Jessica asked suddenly, hating the gloomy mood everyone seemed to be in.

Taylor smiled at the idea and Avery and Mackie both squealed with delight.

Being outnumbered, Zac and Taylor managed them while the made the batter, each laughing and talking at the same time.

When Isaac returned home later that night, he tried to be quiet while getting ready for bed.

"How did date package number ten go?" Taylor asked bitterly.

"You seem to have lost count, old friend." Isaac shot back. "It's up to number twelve."

"Why, Ike?" Zac asked curiously.

He smirked as he climbed into his bunk. "Because I can take a girl out to the same place, and not have to worry about being romantic, the mood is already set, and they praise me on how sweet I am." He said laughing.

"If only everyone knew." Taylor said shaking his head.

"Knew what?" Isaac asked smugly. "That I'm not as romantic as I'm made out to be?" He questioned. "You ask every girl I went out with and see what they say to that. You ask every fan of mine what they think of that."

Zac groaned and slammed his pillow over his head, not being able to bear anymore.

Taylor rolled over. "I just wish." He muttered.

They all heard Isaac's chuckle, but ignored it. They were too worn out to fight and bicker, he would never change. Never.
