'I Think God Can Explain'

Closing her eyes, Alys leaned back against the wall and listened as the music filled the tiny room.
Zac beat out a steady rhythm, tossing his head occasionally to keep his hair out of his face. He couldn't help but grin when he looked down and saw Alys' feet next to his on the pedal of the top hat.
Her white and hot pink sneakers always made him feel good for some reason. A beacon of some sort he guessed.
As the song finished up, he glanced down at her again, and felt his heart skip as she smiled timidly up at him. He continued to watch her as his brothers made their remarks and comments on their practicing so far.
It had been a couple years since they'd play with the army men, yet she still came over when Tristan did, and she still sat with him and played whatever she could when she concentrated hard and long enough.
His hand cupped her cheek and he quickly pressed a kiss to the other. She blushed, and he only grinned more and quickly started counting off for another song.

The sudden jolt of being pushed forward, brought Zac to a standstill.
Then he stumbled as another push came became him and he started walking down the airplane aisle.
"I thought you were supposed to be the impatient one." Taylor muttered from behind.
Zac laughed and nodded, "I am, Tay. I am."
They couldn't get off the airplane, out of the airport, into the van, or to their house fast enough.
But the hour and a half wasn't that bad. If you compared it to not seeing your best friend in over three months.
