Chapter Two

- Later -

Justice and Ike were sitting on the floor and were talking about things they hoped for in the future.

Then Ike brought up the question of boyfriends.

“Soo? I know you don’t have one.” He smiled.

“You're right I don’t. But, I do, however, like someone.” Justice said smiling back.

“Who?” Ike asked carefully.

“Like I’m telling, cause you’ll tell him and hell will break lose.” She said as she got up.

“Wait.” Ike said as she stood, “I know someone that is interested in you... very interested.”

Justice smiled and shook her head and then walked away.

She was going to her room when she past Taylor in the hall. He smiled brightly at her; she returned a small smile.

“What’s wrong?” he asked.

She shook her head and walked in the room, closing the door behind her.

Taylor stopped and looked at the door, as if he were looking through it. He walked over to it and opened it slightly.

He saw Justice laying on the small pallet made for a bed, that her and Emerald shared. He walked in and closed the door behind him. Justice didn’t look up, just laid there.

“Justice?” He whispered, as he slowly walked over to the makeshift bed and bent down. “Justice?”

She looked up, “What?”

“Are you okay.” Taylor asked as he placed his hand on her back.

“I have a headache, and I don’t feel well. It’s best if I weren’t bothered.” Justice smiled up at him.

“Would you be bothered if I stayed here with you?” He asked quietly as he sat down.

“Are you going to talk to me?” She questioned looking up at him.

“If you want me to.” Taylor reassured her.

“My back, hurts.” Justice mumbled to her self.

“What?” He asked, not catching what she said.

“My back is sore.” She replied, her voice louder, followed by a sigh of annoyance.

Taylor nodded, and then he softly placed his hands upon her back.

“You don’t have to,” Justice remarked.

“I want to...” Taylor reassured, smiling as he slowly rubbed her back.

All the soreness was soon out of her back, and he stopped.

“Does it still hurt?” He asked as his hands slid down her back.

“Nope, thanks.” Justice said as she turned over and looked at him, he smiled down.

“Good.”

Taylor slowly bent down and got close to Justice’s face, he opened his mouth and his lips grazed her lips before there was a knock on the door.

He pulled back, before the door opened and Emerald was looking through.

“I just wanted to tell you that I was home, I’m sorry I’ll leave you two alone.” Emerald smiled.

“No, I gotta get going.” Taylor said as he quickly got up and was soon out the door.

Emerald laughed and was about to close the door when Justice stopped her.

“Come here, we gotta talk.” Justice smiled.

- That Night -

Ike and Emerald were talking; Justice was over in the corner writing, like always before Zac came over and sat down beside her.

“Hey, what you up too?” Zac asked as he sat down beside her.

“Writing and wishing how soon we can get some furniture.” Justice smiled as she looked up.

Zac could always make her smile, maybe it was the fact that he was two years younger than she was and she still considers him innocent.

Even though sixteen years olds were far from innocent, and Zac was no different, she would still always remember him a an eleven year old that was the insane side of Hanson when they first came out.

“Yea, I’m getting tired of sitting and sleeping on the floor all the time, it gets kinda boring.” Zac smiled as he looked at what Justice was writing.

“Any reason you came here or do you just wanna chat?” Justice said as she looked at her notebook, that contained thousands of entries about Taylor, and his family. And today’s entry was no different.

Zac and Justice had a great relationship, if Justice needed or wanted to talk to somebody, Zac was always there.

She told him things that the only other person she told was Emerald, but this secrete that she kept from everyone was about to surface.

“Just to chat. Ike and Emerald are over there talking about you and Taylor.” Zac shook his head, “And Tay’s gettin strange, and that’s not just around you either.”

“Hey Zac, what we’re going to be talking about, it can’t be said to nobody. Nobody.” Justice looked at him with a straight face, knowing Zac was good at keeping secretes.

He nodded.

“I know Taylor likes me. It’s kinda obvious, but the truth is I’m not sure if I like him.” Justice lied, she liked him just as much as he liked her.

“I won’t lie to you, and I’m breaking a promise when I say this, but you're right, he does.” Zac said as wiggled to get comfortable.

“And if you turn slightly out the corner of your eye you can see Taylor standing at the end of the hall, staring at you.”

Justice turned just enough to see him, then she slowly went back to her normal position, “What should I do?”

“Nothing. Nothing you can do,” Zac said before he sneezed.

“Bless you.” She said laughing.

“Thanks.”

“Has he told you why he likes me?” She asked, wondering if he was still staring.

Zac shook his head, “Nope.”

“Let’s say that I decide that I do like him.” Justice started to skim the truth. “Should I tell him, because he already told me,” She looked back on the events that occurred earlier, “Kinda.”

“Kinda?” Zac asked raising an eyebrow.

“I take it when a guy does or tries to kiss you and is interrupted, that that is a good sign that he likes you. Right?”

Zac laughed and nodded, “That’s about it. He told ya.”

Justice let out a hard sigh.

“Answer me this, and be honest, did you want him to kiss ya?” He asked looking at how she would react to the question.

Her expressions were blank, followed by no answer.

“Okay, another question, if he would have kissed you all the way, you did say that you two were interrupted?”

Justice nodded.

“Would you have kissed him back?”

After a long silence, she looked up at him, “Yeah, I would have, and being truthful, I would have made it the longest kiss ever in my life.”

Zac nodded, then smiled.

“I know that it happened I would not want stop.” Justice said as she closed her journal.

“Justice, I would say that you liked him.” Zac looked at his brother at the end of the hall.

Ike looked over to see what Zac was looking at, he shook his head and then went back to listening to Emerald.

“I know she likes him, she just won’t admit it to anyone.” He sighed, “And he’s driving all of us crazy.”

“He’s been acting weird since we mentioned moving in here. I don’t get it.” Emerald said as she saw Zac and Justice laugh.

“I think when I went into my room earlier, Taylor tried to kiss her. I know Justice, and I know she wanted him to.” She said as she saw Justice get up and sit in front of Zac.

“I’ve tried talking to her, Zac was talking to her now, and I know you’ll try, right?” Ike asked.

Emerald nodded, “Yeah, I’ll see what’s up,” Then after a silence, she looked back up at Ike, “Maybe Taylor’s the one that needs to talk to her.”

“Maybe.” Ike thought about it.
