Chapter #31

After the contract was made, and Arie went back to Washington, Dahven struggled to keep calm and relaxed. Jim Reeves had relayed to her the comment her brother had made in the office after she left, and she was nervous as to what he might do. At what he could do.

New Years had passed uneventful to her. Her friends and family were gathered at the Hanson house and she stood by quietly and watched as the party took place. Not in the mood to celebrate the New Year of nineteen-ninety-nine. Two thousand was the only one she was looking forward to at the moment.

Weeks had passed now, and her and Randy had traveled some. Doing two photo shoots and a radio interview. Once they were back in Tulsa, on January twenty-first, the month already almost over.

Randy watched Isaac carefully as he took care of Angel. She watched as he fed her and gently rocked her in the lazy chair.

"Ike?" She asked carefully as she drew designs on the chair's armrest with her fingertips.

Isaac, who was smiling down at Angel, looked up at Randy. "Hmm?"

"Are you and Charm going to have kids?" She questioned shyly as she looked up at him as well.

"Why do you ask?" He asked as his eyebrows drew together thoughtfully.

"It's just that…" Randy started, her face flushed as she struggled with a reason for her stupid question now. "You two would make such great parents."

Isaac smiled at her, "I'd like us to." He said grinning. "D would be a great mother, but we already have Angel to take care."

Randy nodded, "However." Isaac continued. "You'd have to ask her. Because we really haven't discussed the issue yet."

She smiled at him, "I hope Tay and I get married so that we can have kids." She said dreamily.

He chuckled quietly. "I hope everything works out for you two." He told her.

"Oh, I hope so too." Randy replied readily.

Standing up, Isaac lifted Angel to his shoulder. "Let's go see what kind of mess Zac, D, and Tay are making in the kitchen." He said smiling down at the little baby again. He glanced over at Randy. "You coming?"

Nodding, Randy stood up s well, and started to follow Isaac out of the library. The others had already been gone for fifteen minutes.

"What kind of snack takes fifteen minutes to cook?" She asked out loud.

Isaac shrugged the shoulder that wasn't occupied by Angel. "Knowing D's cooking abilities, and Zac's and Tay's I just know they've had to have thrown away many things from being burnt or dropped on the floor." He stated.

Randy laughed, the sad thing was, was that it was all too true.

Upon entering the room, they heard laughter and shouting.

Taylor was standing over the stove in a white apron, while Zac and Dahven were tied to chairs with empty garbage bags as the bondage.

Isaac and Randy exploded with laughter.

Taylor had turned around, with a grin on his face as he pointed a wooden spoon at Zac and Dahven. "Those two will basically have the fire extinguisher as one of the main ingredients in every meal that they cook!"

"He's being a poopie head!" Zac shouted defensively, while Dahven on the other hand, was remaining quiet.

Remembering the incident with his birthday dinner, Isaac began to laugh some more, as he started walking over to Dahven and Zac in their chairs.

He grinned at them. "Want up?"

Dahven's eyes widened, then flashed quickly and Isaac started untying her first. Angel was gently lying on one shoulder, as he manipulated the plastic bag. Once Dahven was freed she untied Zac.

When Zac was up and going to check on the macaroni and cheese that Taylor was making, Dahven kissed Isaac, and grinned at him. "Looks like you're going to be the cook of our family." She told him laughing.

Isaac laughed too. "Only if we wanna eat." He teased.
