Chapter #42

Dahven sat next to Isaac, anxious and excited at how their day was turning out to be. Her brother was there, the Hanson's were all there, and mostly Isaac was there with her.

She glanced over at him and squeezed his hand in hers, Husband. She thought giddily.

Isaac looked over at her and grinned, then leaned forward to say something in her ear. "You looked like you've just been handed the world." He teased.

She giggled lightly; "Didn't you know?" She asked softly looking up at him. "I have been."

His smile was soft and warm, and he leaned in again, kissing her gently. "Then we've both been given the same gift." He whispered.

Dahven's face lit up brightly with the love and compassion she felt for him, and kissed him again. Never seeming to get enough, for it felt like the first time they had kissed when they realized that they had feelings for each other.

"Oh, come on!" Zac wailed from the other side of the table. "Can't you two just wait?!"

Blushing dark shades of red, but laughing, Dahven and Isaac pulled apart, while the started piling up the wedding gifts in front of them.

"It's customary for the gifts to be opened in your home," Arie stated softly as he stood up. "But this is one that cannot wait until then."

Handing over the envelope, Dahven reached up and took. Expecting money, she opened it and started crying as she looked up to him. "Thank you." She whispered faintly. "I love it."

Arie turned to the whole family, "Ladies and Gentleman, may I present to you the owners of "Hanson Hall." Mister and Misses Isaac Hanson."

A thunderous applause rung out in the small reception hall, and Dahven clung to her husband. "This is why you left yesterday." She murmured quietly. "To get him to give me my mother's house."

Isaac bobbed his head slowly. "Like you," He said gently. "I'll strike up a deal to get what I want. And I wanted you happy in your home."

"Our home." She corrected. "Our home."

Smiling, he gave a small nod. "Our home." He repeated it, as if for finalization.

"Time for the throwing of the bouquet and the garter." Mrs. Hanson announced smiling broadly at the pair.

Standing up, Isaac helped up his wife. "I got an idea." She whispered to him smiling.

"What?" He whispered back.

Leaning over closer to him, she started whispering frantically in his ear. Pulling back, she watched him as he roared with laughter.

"Good idea." He said still laughing.

Dahven grinned at him, as he set out a chair for her, and helped her to sit back down.

Her face flamed when Isaac knelt before her and grinned slyly. "Don't gloat." She said as she flushed more.

He was chuckling to himself when he started to raise the hem of her dress slowly and carefully.

In the background, Zac was beating out a racy tune on a drum set.

"Faster." Dahven mumbled to him.

Looking up at her, Isaac's grin only broadened, but he obeyed, and quickly removed the blue and white silk garter, without managing to bare her leg to their whole audience.

Jumping from behind the drum set, Zac ran to get in crowd of bachelors wanting to catch the garter.

Winking at her, Isaac deftly flipped the flimsy thing into the crowd, but directly at Taylor forehead.

Blushing a brighter red than Dahven had, Taylor looked up at his older brother smiling like a idiot while he clutched the material in his hand, making both Isaac and Dahven laugh hysterically.

"The bouquet's next!" Linz screeched loudly.

Nodding in agreement, Dahven stood up, and took her bouquet of white roses, and turned around. Looking over her shoulder slightly, she saw where Randy was standing, she nodded her head. When she turned back around, Dahven leaned backwards, and then lightly tossed the array of flowers behind her. Then quickly turned to see who caught it.

And as planned, she saw Randy smiling and holding the beautiful bouquet.

Quickly then, the photographer was taking pictures of Taylor and Randy together, the garter and bouquet being shown off as prized possessions, as they were basically promised to be the next ones married.

Before they were allowed to sit down again, Randy energetically grabbed their arms, "Come on!" She said grinning. "It's time to cut the cake!"

Dahven laughed, "Girl, you're so happy this could be your wedding." She commented amusedly.

Randy laughed loudly, "Not for a few more years, my dear." She stated. "Not for a few more years."

Squeezing Isaac's hand, she stood next to him in front of the large four layered dessert. She giggled at the two figurines on top, and Isaac did the same when he realized what she was laughing about.

"Okay, ready?" Mr. Hanson asked as he turned on the video camera, and stood next to the photographer.

Isaac laughed, "No, we need a knife." He said holding up a dinky white plastic fork.

"Oh, you can cut with that." Zac shouted.

"No way!" Dahven said laughing. "We gonna do this right!" She informed him.

When Mrs. Hanson appeared with a sharp knife, Dahven nodded approvingly. "Now we can do this right." She consented smiling.

Slipping her fingers over the handle, Isaac slid his over hers. Smiling down at her, they raised the knife and cut cleanly into the bottom layer. Then again they cut into it, cutting out a slice and putting it on a napkin.

Dahven laughed when she dug her fingers into the cake, and raised it up to Isaac's mouth. He smiled down at her, and raised his fingers up to hers as well. Simultaneously, they fed each other the small pieces of cake, before smearing it onto each other's faces.

Mr. Hanson looked at them form behind his camera. His eyes were glistening brightly with happy tears, while his wife stood beside him. Her arms wrapped around one of his, and her cheeks wet with her own tears of joy.

Their baby had grown, and started himself a family.
