Sabrina II

Chris had watched as Karen called his father and told him her demands. He wondered why she was asking for so much money from his dad. His dad didn’t have that kind of money. She hung up the phone.

“There, now we both will get what we want.”

Chris was even more confused now.

“Taylor, I’m leaving make sure this little twerp stays here.”

“Yes, ma’am.”

Karen picked up her purse and left the house.

Chris heard the door bolt and lock three times and the car start and she left. “What does she want from my dad?”

“Money.”

“Ten million… my daddy doesn’t have that kind of money.”

“Yes, he does. You are very rich. You’re parents just won’t show it.”

“Oh. What does she want with all of that money. By the looks of your house you guys are doing okay.”

“I know. But she wants to be rich and have big rings and lots of diamonds.” Taylor said wiping the table.

“What do you want?”

“I want a mom and dad.” He said quietly.

“Will the money get you one?” He asked tentatively.

“No. I don’t know what she’s going to do with me. It wouldn’t surprise me if she gave me to an orphanage.”

Chris felt instantly sorry for him. “I’m sorry.”

“I don’t know what my mom is going to do once she has the money. She’s been so obsessed with your dad for years that she has done nothing else but learn everything about him. Come with me.”

Chris followed Taylor into a room that was filled with nothing but pictures of his dad from when he was younger to now. “I’m even named after him. My name is Taylor Hanson.” He said with his head downcast.

Chris just scrunched up his eyebrows and looked at the tall lanky brown haired boy. “I don’t know what to say.”

“I bet you want to go home.”

“Yes, I do.”

“If I had your mom and dad I’d want to be with them too.” He said looking at a picture of his mom and dad.
