Sabrina II

The date had been set for when the parents would get a day to them selves at Taylor’s house. Mark was still trying to find a friend that would stay the night and help him take care of the kids. Mark was in Miss. Taylor’s class.

“Hey Scott…can you come over and help me baby sit?”

“I asked my mom. She said it was okay. Who’s kids are we baby-sitting?”

“My brothers and sisters, my uncle Taylor’s kids, and my uncle Zac’s kids.”

“And how many does that equal out to?”

“Let’s see we have eight in out family counting me, my uncle Taylor has about or is it four. He has a few and uncle Zac has two.”

“That’s gonna be sixteen people in your house.”

“Yup.”

“Okay.” Scott looked at his paper for a second and then looked back up at Mark. “We are getting paid for this correct?”

“A dollar per kid per hour.”

“Cool. Will Tom be there?”

“I don’t know, I haven’t asked him.”

Scott just nodded.

The night arrived and Sabrina and Isaac were getting everything ready so they could leave. The doorbell rang, Tommy answered it.

“Hey, Chris.” Tommy said waving at Taylor’s oldest son.

“Hey, Tom.” The group of four kids walked in and Mary handed the youngest over to Tommy.

“Hi, Aunt Mary.”

“Hey, Tom. Where’s your mom?”

“Upstairs in her room.”

“Oh okay. Are Zac’s kids here?”

“No, not yet.”

“Oh. Sabrina, Isaac! Hurry up!” Mary called from the bottom of the stairs.

“I’m commin', I’m commin'.” Sabrina called back. She had just finished pulling on her gym shoes when Ike came out of the bathroom.

“I hate that toothpaste.” He said with a disgusted look on his face.

“I do too. I just don’t have the heart to waste it and throw it out.” Isaac rolled his eyes.

“You ready to go? Mary sounds like she’s ready.”

“Yeah.” The doorbell rang again.

“Yo, Scott man.” Mark said.

“Good, Mark has his friend over.” Sabrina said, getting up.

“Yeah, at least there will be two people watching.”

“Yup.” They heard the door open.

“It’s me.” Zac called from the opening.

Sabrina and Isaac came down the stairs.

“Hey, Zac.” Sabrina called.

“You be lookin' fine, girl.”

“You’re looking good yourself.”

“Why thank you my lady.” Zac handed his baby over to Mark. “Are you sure that Mark will be able to watch all of these kids?” Zac asked watching his oldest girl run after one of Taylor’s kids.

“Yeah, he has a friend over to watch and Tommy is fourteen so he can help.” Zac nodded his head and smiled a little.

“Well, let’s get to your house Mary…before Taylor wonders where the mother of his children went.” Isaac said smiling.

“Yeah, we better go. Bye kids. Mommy’s leaving.”

“Bye, Mom.” Yelled some kids.

“Well, don’t I just feel loved.” Mary smiled.

“Know the feeling.” Isaac said. Sabrina went to find Mark and Scott. They were both in the kitchen getting juice and water for the kids. Sabrina hugged Mark.

“I’ll see ya later, hun.”

“Bye, Mom.”

“You know uncle Tay’s phone number don’t you?”

“Yeah it’s five-five-five-two-nine-one-six.”

“Good. Have fun.”

“We’ll try.” Mark said.

“Bye Scott, thanks for helping.”

“Not a problem, Mrs. Hanson.”

“Get out of here, Mom. Everything will be all right.”

“Fine, fine. Bye. Bye kids.” She yelled.

“Bye, Mom.” They all yelled back.
