'The Secrets To Tell'

"So what do you think there is to say?" Isaac asked slowly, "I mean, she didn't have all that much, right? I mean, I saw her apartment!"
Grace glared at him; "Emma had a few secrets, kay?" She asked shortly, "Even I knew she was keeping something pretty big and major to herself. This will probably justify all for the inquiring minds."
Properly put in his space, Isaac backed off slightly and turned to look at his dad. "I still don't understand why us three were called."
Grace rolled her eyes, "Probably cause it has to do with all three of us? Ya think? Or did you stop doing that for safety sake? The migraines get too much?"
Shooting her his own dark look, Isaac crossed his arms and promptly watched the office door.
"It's like a toaster." Grace mocked quietly, "It won't don't do a damn thing if you watch it."
"You are just getting to be a major pain in the..." Turning to glare at her again, the clicking of the door opening sounded.
She grinned, "Told ya."    Moving to sit behind the big scarred desk, he bobbed his head as well. "Hello, Miss James. Mister Hanson." He grinned, "Mister Hanson. I should like to divulge what this meeting is about. I am Waylon Brubaker. Please, call me Bru."
Pulling out a thick file from the desk drawer at his right hand, he opened it with a flick of his wrist and then reached for his glasses hanging around his neck. "This is all cut and dried really." He explained in a more business tone. "Emma Riley had a last will and testament drawn up several years ago, and was constantly keeping up with it and making changes she felt necessarily over time."
Shocked by this unknown side of her friends concern and consistency, Grace tried to sit still in her uncomfortable plastic chair. This was going to be more difficult than she thought. Which was saying a lot, since she was already near being petrified.
"After being taken away from her biological family, and being thrust into one foster home upon another, Emma acquired a substantial amount of funds from one family, while she already had a trust fund from her grandmother."
His fingers stiffened before he looked up, and while his lips thinned while looking at Isaac and Mr. Hanson, his eyes glassed over as well. "It seems Miss Riley thought to include you in the dealings of her assets." Clearing his throat, he returned to the file and flipped over a few pieces of paper.
Grace sat forward some, "And exactly how many assets does she have?"
Ignoring her, Bru started reciting. "To my dearest and only friend Gracie, while I leave her the benefactor of my life insurance, I wish her to help invest and watch over the trust fund that I am leaving to my daughter."
"Woah, woah, woah!" Grace shouted, shooting out of her seat. "What daughter?!"
Turning his gaze sharply on the Hanson's, Bru continued. "Cassidy LeAnne, better known as Zoë Hanson."
