'The Secrets To Tell'

As hard as he tried not to, he watched her. Watched as she tried not to watch him. Watched as she cringed and held herself stiff as she waited for the results as everyone else did.
Even watched as she practically ran from the room once the results were given.
He had stayed behind to make sure that Isaac was coming out of his shock all right, and no extra-added brain damage developed. He didn't think he could stand another Taylor in the family.
Smiling weakly to himself, Zac felt better knowing that he slammed his brother. Even if it was in his own mind, and only him laughed.
Realizing that Bru wanted to speak with Isaac, Zac quietly slipped from the room and started down the hallway. There had to be a couple vending machines here. What place wouldn't?
Digging into his pocket for his wallet and hopefully some change that didn’t include pennies, Zac thought of what he might get if he found one of the Holy Machines.
Hearing the ping of change hitting the ground, he groaned and looked down to see what he had dropped. If it was a hateful penny, he wasn't even going to bother picking it up. Having to bend his giant body at the waist, to a ground that was just too far away for a penny was utterly ridiculous.
Seeing a dime resting against the side of the wall, Zac grinned. A dime was worth the bending.
Grabbing the dime after a few seconds of fumbling, and cursing that he had no fingernails, Zac huffed and stood up straight. He already felt like he was fifty, but was incredibly glad he didn't make any daddy noises. Yet.
It was while he was upright that he saw it. Or… well actually them. And red seeped into his vision as the anger and jealousy burned up inside him.
Taylor and his supposed girlfriend locked in an embrace. Hugging as if there were no tomorrow.
The same girlfriend who was basically ignoring him, and wasn't allowing him to hold her was sure as hell holding onto his brother with no damn problem.
Frowning, Zac thought as clearly as he possibly could, considering he was contemplating fighting his brother in a fairly public place.
His hands were clenched into his fist, and he jumped when Isaac clapped his shoulder. "Something interesting going on over there?"
Zac nodded towards his point of interest. "It seems a bit interesting to me. Though for the life of me, I can't seem to think of why right now."
Arching an eyebrow, Isaac looked down the hallway, and saw Taylor and Grace standing close and talking in hushed tones.
Then watched as they hugged each other tightly.
He whistled low, under his breath and Zac nodded in agreement. "Wanna know the really bad part to all of this?" He asked wryly. "She hasn't let me that close to her in a long time, and doesn't seem to like talking to me anymore either."
He nodded towards them again, "But she doesn't seem to have a problem letting my brother close, or talking with him."
Isaac patted his shoulder, "Maybe she just needed to talk with someone else, Zac. It happens sometimes. Like when you'd rather talk with Tay than me. He has that… aura or whatever, going on for him that make people think he's a great listener."
Zac rolled his eyes, and shrugged him off. "I don't care anymore, Ike. I don't. But I do care about getting a soda, and hopefully a candy bar too."
Nodding, Isaac watched as one brother walked off and as the other hugged the girlfriend of the one that was walking away.
Sighing, he leaned his back up against the wall, and thought of the news he had just learned. There had to have been a mistake, though Bru swore the results were 99.9% accurate…
He hadn't had the guts to tell him that it was Zoë's and his DNA they tested… not Zoë's and their dads.
Drawing in a shaky breath, he tried to think of when he and Emma could have ever been together and created a child that was now being passed off as his baby sister.
