'Prologue'

Emma Riley twirled the red lollipop slowly, deliberately, along her bottom lip and winked at the man before her. "What's your name, sugar?" She purred softly, before deftly licking the red confection with a dart of her reddening tongue.
She could almost hear him moan and rolled her eyes mentally. Too easy. She thought, bored, and nearly yawned in his face.
"J-J-Jason." He stuttered out, his eyes focused intently on the candy.
Seeing the baby blue car speed into the parking lot, she smiled and winked at Jason again. "Well, catch you later, J-J-Jason."
Sighing in relief as she got into her friend's car, she cleared her throat and gave a dainty wave to the now panting guy and blew a kiss. "Waiting for him to declare undying love and propose, or are we gonna leave?" She asked dryly, still smiling sweetly.
She almost didn't notice the red puffy eyes behind the dark shades, but she did when her friend turned her head. "Shit, what happened, Gracie?"
"He turned out to be you!" She growled angrily, as her foot hit the gas pedal a little harder.
Emma gritted her teeth and planted her feet firmly on the floorboard so she wouldn't go slamming into the door. It was one thing for her to play the game, but Gracie was an innocent. And no one hurt her friend.
"Where's he hang, Gracie?" She asked tightly as her hands clenched.
Grace James turned to look at her sharply, then focused back on the road. "No, Em."
"Yes, Gracie." She returned just as harshly.
"I don't want him getting a kneecap busted or any other joint of bone busted." Grace reiterated.
Emma bit into the red sucker and started to crunch loudly. "If I promise no physical harm, would you tell me?"
"What are you gonna do?" Grace asked warily from the corner of her eye.
She grinned coyly, "What I do best, baby." She answered before pecking her cheek. "What else?"
Grace groaned, "Oh, God. Tay's dead."
