Ant Enemies
Some ant enemies are ant lions. Ant lions are not lions. They are the larva of a doodlebug. Ant lions dig hole in the ground and just st there waiting for ants to stumble into the hole. It then eats them. Other enemies are anteaters and aardvarks. The anteaters and aardvarks have long noses which they use to suck ants up with. Other ants are probaly the main ant enemy. They try to break into an ants home for food. Termites and ants are enemies. Termites are not ants but are sometimes called "white" ants due to termites white color.
Ant Friends and "House Guests"
Ants sometimes have guests that live with them. One guest is the aphid which stores honeydew in it's stomach. The ants love this honeydew so much, that they actually keep herds of them in the homes whenever an ant wants some honeydew it taps the aphid on the head and the aphid spits up some honeydew for the ant. Some spiders try to get into an ants nest in a way that sometimes works. A spider which has four legs and no antennae get into an ants nest by waving their front legs in the air and using the other three to walk. The ants think that the spider is another ant by rubbing it's antennae with it. This probaly only works for blind ants, even though they have very good senses.
