Something... But we don't know what.

*wednesday, november 21

I hate it when I write out a whole one of these and by some stupid error something goes wrong and the whole thing disappears. Computers are stupid. I've decided I'm going to very soon break my computer habit as mine has started to make my head hurt, and snood no longer has its addictive qualities in me. Music is one issue, as all my good music is one the computer. Perhaps I will attempt to burn a CD today, although they never seem to want to work for me. That aside, music is good. Especially Led Zeppelin, which is a completely computer-based collection. So... I've been reading Nineteen-Eighty-Four for Media and have thought it wasn't so good... Until this one part, where he goes into the part of the town with the proles and buys the paperweight... Since then it has been amazing. I like the way he contemplates the history, and the whole love affair thing is just absolutely fantastic. It almost makes me want to be oppressed just so I can have an illegal love affair. Psh... Thought Police... I think it's funny that Mariea and I have been speaking Newspeak since grade 10.

to think of us again.... and i do

Ah, Tangerine, tangerine. Living reflection of a dream. Today I called Sara twice while she was out and left amusing messages on her machine for her to collect when she returned that would hopefully make her smile. Here I will post what I said in the second one, which is a passage from << Le Petit Prince >> which made me laugh really hard. Only in french... for some reason I didn't find it so funny when I read it in english... but who knows, maybe I was drunk? Anyway, what's happening here is that the Little Prince wants to leave the planet the self-appointed King of the Universe is on, and the king says if he stays he'll make him the Minister of Justice. The Prince scoffs, and says "but who will I judge?"

"Hem! hem!" dit le roi, "je crois bien que sur
ma planete il y a quelque part un vieux rat. Je
l'entends la nuit. Tu pourras juger ce vieux rat.
Tu le condamneras a mort de temps en temps."*

So I thought that was particularly hilarious. I've been so happy lately... Everything is going well and I've just been keeping very busy (which is a good thing, even if it involves work). It's funny that I spent 4 straight hours in the foyer today. Man, school is so much my home that I don't even notice I'm not AT home ... even if it is 6.30pm and the principal is telling us to get a life for still being there. MAn, that was funny.

*Translation (rough): There's a rat on my planet. I hear him at night. You can judge him. You can condemn him to death from time to time.
