Chapter 19:Ashley drove hurriedly up the freeway. She'd calculated her time to the minute. She would arrive at the chapel at exactly 5:40, which would give her exactly an hour and 20 minutes to get herself, the bride's maids, and the flower girl (Zoe, of course) ready for their big moment.

She nervously let her thoughts drift. Is this the right thing to do? Should I let it continue, or stop the chaos before it gets way out of hand? Should I make Taylor unhappy or should I make myself unhappy? Will I even be unhappy if this event takes place? Or will I be happy about it, too...

She'd been thinking crazy thoughts such as this ever since the moment she'd agreed to go along with Taylor's scheme. She'd only said yes because he said he couldn't imagine her not going through with it with him. That he couldn't make it without her there by his side. And that he'd already designed her dress himself. Ashley felt herself trembling as though she might cry. She loved him more than anything, so why was this so hard for her to do? Shouldn't she be happy that he was so happy?

She looked in her rearview mirror, making sure that tears hadn't actually slipped down onto her cheek. She couldn't afford to have to redo all of her eye make-up again. She didn't have time. No, sir. There was going to be a wedding tonight, and no Ashley was going to be there, looking unusually radiant and as happy as ever.
