TEASPOON

Songs Dedicated To Teaspoon:

Teaspoon

Lonesome Dove--Garth Brooks

She loved the man who war a star,
A Texas Ranger known near and far.

He wore his star for all to see,
He was a Texas lawman legacy.

Cowboy Bill--Garth Brooks

He told good stories,
and all us kids listened 'bout his life on the border
and the way it was then
And we all believed and when he would finish
We'd ask the old cowboy to tell 'em again
You could almost hear those prairie winds blowin'
His saddle a creakin' 'neath his old faded jeans
You could taste the dry dust from the trail he was ridin'
As he sat there and painted those west Texas scenes

CHORUS
And the grown ups would tell us,
you boys keep your distance.
That old man's just telling you lies.
But to all us kids, Cowboy Bill was a hero,
Just as true as his blue Texas Sky.

He told of the time when he road with the Rangers,
down on the Pecos, and he saved the day.
Outnumbered by plenty, they were almost to cover
With thirty banditos headed their way.
He looked back just in time to see a horse stumble,
The Captain went down, and Bill pulled up on his reins,
And through a flurry a bullets he rescued the Captain,
They rode for a sunset, just the story remains

CHORUS

Well, I still remember the day that it happened,
we waited and waited but Bill never showed,
And the folks at the feed store said they hadn't seen him,
So we set out for his place down Old Griss Mill Road.
And we cried when we found him lying there with his memories.
The old trunk wide open, things scattered about,
And he was clutching a badge that said Texas Ranger,
And an old yellow letter said Texas was proud.

And those grown ups that said, "You boys keep your distance,
that old man's just telling you lies"
Well now they're saying, "Cowboy Bill was a hero,
As true as his blue Texas skies."

Forever Young--Rod Stewart

To all the riders

May the Good Lord be with you down every road you roam.
And may sunshine and happiness surround you when you're far from home.
And may you grow to be proud, dignified and true
And do unto others as you'd have done to you
Be courageous and be brave, and in my heart you'll always stay
Forever Young

May fortune be with you, may your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to Heaven, whether prince or a vagabond
And may you never love in vain, and in my heart you'll always remain
Forever Young

And when you finally fly away, I'll be hoping that I served you well
For all the wisdom of a lifetime, no one can ever tell
But whatever road you choose, I'm right behind you, win or lose
Forever Young

I was brought to my Senses - Sting

The wounds she(he) gave me
Were the wounds that would heal me
And we'd be like the moon and sun
And when our courtly dance had
Run it's course across the sky
Then together we would lie
And out of the confusion
Where the river meets the sea
Something new would arrive
Something better would arrive

I was brought to my senses
I was blind but now that I can see
Every signpost in nature
Said you belong to me

Rachel

Lonesome Dove--Garth Brooks

Back to Back with the Rio Grande
A Christian woman in the Devil's land
She learned the language and she learned to fight
But she never learned how to beat the lonely nights

That Summer--Garth Brooks

She was a lonely widow woman
Hell bent to make it on her own
