Here are some poems without images. Either because, "A" I was too lazy to create one appropriate for the poem, or "B", reffer to reason "A".

THE LITTLE WHITE BIRCH

The young white birch was slender and frail,
So slight a tree in so fierce a gail!
And I, through the window, sheltered warm,
watched her writhe in the screaming storm.

Through the pounding gray, I saw a flash of white,
Tortured and twisted, yet holding tight,
Till I longed to open the window wide
And coax the little white birch inside.

Her leaves were small, and their edges curled;
Far too small to be tossed and whorled!
In a wind that twisted them all awry-
Delicate leaves that could bruise and die
If even a bird arrest in her branches to prean,
So pale, so fragile, so young they seemed.

Yet she flaunted them forth in a saucy way,
And only seven leaves were blown away.
She clung to the rest with stubborn pride
However the blustering storm winds cried.
And however harsh the threatening blast-
Her little twig fingers held them fast.

Someone came knocking, I had to go-
And what happened to her, I'll never know...
Whether broken and conquered she fell at last,
Or rose, head up when the storm went past.
I'll never be sure, and I wish I knew,
But this, at least, is certainly true:

That a slim white stem, on the wind rode high,
Splashing her leaves into the stormy sky.

I WAS AT A PARTY

Could have been the whiskey.
Might have been the gin.
Could have been the 3, 4, 6 pack - I don't know!
But look at the mess I'm in!
My head is like a football!
I think I'm going to die!
Tell me why, Oh, Why, OH,
WHY?!?

I was at a party.
Someone took a grapefruit.
Wore it like a hat.
I saw someone under my kitchen table, talking to the ol' tom cat.
They were talking 'bout a hot babe.
The cat was talking back!
Along about then everything went black..

I was at a party.
I'm sure it's just my memory...
Playing tricks on me...
But I think I saw my buddy cutting down my neighbor's tree!

Billy Joe and Tommy, they went a little far -
They were sitting in the backyard playing with the siren from somebody's police car!

So you see Your Honor, it was all in fun...
That little bitty track meet
Down on Main Street was just to see if those cops could run!
Well, they ran us in to see you... in an alcoholic haze...
I could sure use those 30 days to recover from the party...
MAN! What a party...

INSANITY

I was born embraced by darkness
The void ever eternal.
I wake into a porcelain fog,
Shadows brimming all around me.
Through the velvet veil I see,
Though my eyes are blind,
A drunken peaceful calm
That threatens to overwhelm me.

Nothing is understood.. in my frozen daydream,
Yet the confusion is my sweet seduction.
Dancing breaths betray me in my transluscent silence.
I am falling, yet I remain in place.
Lips part to welcome the taste of dew, But morning never comes.
Liquid dreams fill my fever
With colorless illusions of lingering things...
MAGIC...

All is numb, there is nothing outside
the bite of mental fabrication.
Oh, Delicious Evil!
Wash over me now! Wash away my pains
And fears across my wasted vastland.
Wash away my purity and carry it away like sand.

Feed my hunger; niave with a child's demanding.
I, so like you,
Will speak to deceive, touch to hurt,
And love as hate moistens the blood in my veins.

You, whose heart is laden with poison,
And is made with thorns of glass and marble shards.
You, whose heart corrupts me and makes me impure.
You, whose heart forsakes my lover's embrace.
You, whose heart beats for me,
Mine bleeds for you.
