Panda watched the rain fall out side through her window. She had been looking out this window a lot since Jenny died.
"Panda, come on were going to the Hanson's for dinner."
"Why are we going over there?"
"Because they invited us."
Panda knew there was no point in arguing. Once her mom made a decision it was set in stone.
"Ok let me change shirts."
"Hurry."
Panda walked over to her dresser. Then she noticed the pile of clothes growing on her floor. She had forgotten to take them to the laundry room. She rummaged around in the bottom of her closet. She found a shirt. When she put it in the light memories flooded her mind.
Zac had given her this shirt a few monthes ago. They had sat with Jenny all night at the hospital and had to walk home in the rain. She stayed the night at the Hanson's that night and her clothes were soaken wet. Zac gave her the shirt. It had been one of his favorites but it was too little for him now.
She had been wearing this shirt when they found out Jenny died. She hadn't put it on since.
"Panda hurry!"
She slipped the shirt on and ran down the stairs.
Before she knew it they were at the Hanson's house
