watch your lips as you sing along
something melts and catches my soul, my inside
i'm breathless, lips part and sigh
where your nose bends to meet your lip
scruff shadow- your gentle sandpaper
makes me breathe though my mouth now
moves with the dream on the radio.
you watch the pavement and
i'll watch your skin move
the heartbeat in your neck and mine doubles.
this addiction, just like like liberty
you make me want to pull over
like i want to scream, blow my head wide open,
stretch out on top of you.
hooded eyes- color of a five year old's
summer swimming pool and i get
hit by unassuming innocence.
now your hands lure my eyes
and i can't help- they stare...
the object of my adoration because
you loved me longer and
the sun on us is orange.
