There will be three male and two female characters in Diablo II (the Amazon, the Necromancer,
the Paladin, the Sorceress & the Barbarian)
all human. Two of these will be two warrior-type classes,
two sorceror-type classes, and one a hybrid. "Each class will
have intrinsic abilities as well as the opportunity to learn more.
Throughout the game, players will need to make choices as to
how they will specialize their talents. There are also two
separate schools of magic so would-be sorcerors won’t be able
to wield all spells under the sun." (UGO)
There are no rogues, warriors, or sorcerers to perform heroic deeds for you in Diablo II and the Lord Of Terror is mightier than
ever. The previous game's heroes simply aren't up to the challenge. That's why Blizzard has created five new
character classes!
