As one of the five characters, you start out in the mountains of the Sister's of the Sightless Eye Monastery. Here you discover that the monastery has been taken over by a tremendous evil power. Andariel (see picture) soon corrupts all the captured rogues. A small band of survivors settle next to the monastery, creating a makeshift camoflage and Diablo II's first town. You'll need to extinguish Andariel's hand, take over the monastery and free the sisters. If you're able to defeat Andariel in the town's final dungeon level, you'll move on to the subsequent acts and locals in the east.
