I remember that days years ago
That hot day in July
When Evan was Sparky in Forever Plaid
I thought, "Wow, what a guy!"

He sang and danced the all through the play
And wore a coat of plaid
I loved the show so I went back
And brought my Mom & Dad

Evan said a lot of funny things
Once again he stole the show
I liked the part where they made Sparky
play the piano

My sister and I went one more time
And because we are so sweet
We wore plaid groupie t-shirts
And baked rice krispie treats

Evan autographed my shirt and hugged me
When we met after the show
He wrote "thanx for rockin'with us"
I was sad to have to go

But with me still are memories
Of those nights at LePetit
And I hope that once again
Evan and I will meet

He is now a shining star
Enjoying fortune and fame
And lots of girls scream and cry
Just when they hear his name

So I hold this special story
And I'm sharing it with you
Because I know that Evan rocks
And I want you to know it too
